Why is the Morgana rework just straight buffs with no actual changes to any skills?

And if you were intending to buff this champion... Why wait until the rework to do it? lol

The skills are literally "unchanged" or "changed, but only bigger numbers and/or new (ADDED) effects"

This is literally the changelist:

W: bigger damage as well as bigger missing health damage. R: exact same skill, except with movespeed buff added

That's it. That's the rework. If she needed these things, why did you wait until the rework to do it?

Or are you just super-buffing her to sell some skins?

Her base movespeed got reduced slightly, and her W damage may be better against low-health enemies, but now it'll be worse against high-health enemies. It's more like a redistribution of power than just straight buffs.

Looks like surrender at 20 is using "dps" and the wiki is using "damage per tick"

After testing on the PBE, her W is a LOT better at waveclearing than it was before. I definitely approve of that change.

Wave clear was a secondary problem. Her primary problem is she does no damage late game to champions.

Going into the "rework" (which is more or less just a Visual Update), Riot already said they weren't going to make any major changes.

Her W being higher damage is misleading.

The minimum damage actually is going down, which means tanks, and other various champs with high HP thresholds will have even an easier time countering her, because Second wind will counter the ability to get them low to benefit from the missing HP damage increase (which isn't new; it's just being written differently)

I know that 170% damage increase from 50% sounds like a lot, but before they applied that, they reduced the AP scaling on it by 25%, and the base damage by 25%

As the PBE mentions, this basically left the base damage about the same (12 higher at max missing HP), and raised the effective total AP damage from 33% of AP to 44% of AP.

In other words, this is more of a "rework" than a buff; 25% less high HP damage in exchange for 25% more low HP damage.

Her R is no longer an instant cast. It has a mild travel time before the chains hit the opponents (and thus land their damage), so while it does get a speed boost, enemies can actually outrun the initial burst of damage. That's not a buff at all. That's a pretty even change.

Op has a point. There was zero reason to wait this long just for her to get minor changes. These changes could have been implemented ages ago.

Because it wasn't a rework, it was listed as VGU

That's still a rework. Visual and Gameplay Update.

Sorry, visual update only

Her passive being the same just seems like a missed opportunity... it's such an old school uninteresting passive (even if it was changed from the old pure vamp it used to be)

I mean. They killed her mid lane cause she can’t auto clear casters with 3 points in pool anymore sooooo
