I have gone into games against golds plats with bronze/unranked on my teams SO ! MANY ! TIMES ! Personally, I'm fine with harder enemies. But giving me people in their provisionals, brand new lv 30 accounts, against others who are my level or higher, is NOT fair. Like why is this such a hard concept riot? Unless I'm duoing with someone in an elo, keep me in silver against and with silver players. If not, put me in a different elo? Like ?

Its you/ their MMR
its basically a hide ELO value
IIFC the teams average MMR should be = to the other teams. if your getting paired with golds thats normal as low gold players can have silver mmr.
but plat is a different story if they had a plat boarder they probably had not ranked yet.

Silver is just a loose category purely used for end of season rewards. Since promotionals and 0 point defeats exist, your LP isn't an accurate representation of your W/L.
If you are a silver playing with someone in plat, either your W/L order indicates a plat skill level, or the plat player is dogshit garbage.

Funkin Dunkin1 votesThat's not a respected system. If he plays at that level eventually if there was no tinkering he'll be at that level. But to force someone to play at a higher level while not actually in that level is counter productive. This system has been broke for a long time but the sheep just say "well that's how it's always been".
Likewise, if a player in Plat "plays at a silver level" he shouldn't be coddled by the system to keep him in plat. That's just Ludacris.

people can cherry pick about an unwinnable game they had but the fact of the matter is that if you dont win 50%+ of your games you dont climb. consistency is more important, and acting like the match maker is trying to block your climb has like been a disproven myth

Actually no. If you deserve to be Gold when you are Silver, you actually should be playing against Gold, not silver. Beating other Silvers only proves you can beat people you are supposedly better than already. If you are being placed against golds, it means you have Gold MMR. It's a good thing.

That's my complaint with the system - if I can't queue with them, don't queue me against them. Either use MMR for both queuing with/against or use rank for queuing with/against, but not this half and half stuff we have going on.
