Make the BASE cooldown of Garen's E scale with (bonus) attackspeed

I like the idea, and I would not be against champions like that, but I think it would hugely change who Garen is, and I don't know how I feel about that, if it's not broken don't fix it right? Garen has a nice identity and a kit that encourages it's own build paths, you already have the choice between durability and regen or attack and armor shred, I don't think adding attack speed builds would be that helpful. It'd also confuse people.

It's already on a fairly low cooldown at max rank, you would have to build a very large amount of attack speed to have any noticeable difference.

That depends on how you let it scale. Also: I don't consider 8s a low cooldown given how fast paced teamfights are.

Garen's abilities discourage him from building ASP, basically making him useless once his spin is down. Allowing his E's CD to scale with ASP would open more interestiung build paths which might not offer so much direct power, yet a lot more consistency.

That seems a little contradictory...

On the one hand you let Garen build attack speed items, so he is more useful while his spin is down.

On the other hand Garen spends less time with his spin down, making any attack speed items with on hit effects less useful.

A typical Garen build can easily lower the cooldown on his spin to around 6 seconds with only 20% CDR, which is rather low. For a tanky AD caster he already has a lot of damage potential, I just don't see why giving him a bonus for building items that don't naturally go along with any part of his kit is something Riot should go out of their way to do.
