Rakan is overloaded? (I am ready for downvotes x.x)

But doesnt it feel like he is a little overstuffed as a support? A 5 man charm?> A shield? A free leap if he messes up, and can be re cast for free for a duration? A knock up? A heal? He literally has so much utility stuffed into one kit it kinda defeats the purpose of picking literally any other support. This to me just feels heavily overloaded and they often do this with new champions. Stuff as much as they can into one champion and then make other champions of that class severely inferior

You could practically pick apart any Champion like this, by simply highlighting their abilities without taking anything else about them into consideration.

Like, let's use Ekko as our example here, since his kit is honestly more overloaded than Rakan's (yet equally as balanced):

He has a three-hit burst of damage that gives him movespeed off champions, two-way damage that procs his passive and slows, passive increased damage to low-health enemies and an AOE slow/AOE stun with low reaction windows, a dash and a targeted blink that procs spell effects and on-hit effects, as well as a rewind to four seconds ago with a flat + %damage taken heal and a massive AOE damage burst.

It's easy to believe that a kit is obscenely overloaded just by reading it, but you also have to take into account the Champion's playstyle, and the way their abilities work with each other.

he is amazing at being a secondary engage, but he will never be anywhere as good as something like Leona when it comes to hard engage and team fight lockdown. He is good at healing but he will never be as good as a nami. He can shield but it will never be as good as a Lulu.

Basically Rakan has a little bit of everything but to make it balanced he isnt great at any one thing. This makes him good in SoloQ where you need someone who can do everything and since people dont really rely on the support role that much in that enviroment, he can be devastating. But when we compare this to leona or thresh or lulu in a semi organized environment. He gets outclassed and looks like a useless fool.

I saw this when playing with my friends last night. If we were playing loose and disorganized Rakan tore us apart. But if we played together, he was utterly useless. Rakan also has basically no peel. This makes engage supports a hard counter to Rakan. Staying organized and having good hard engage nullifies Rakan and turns the game basically into a 5v4 since Rakan does jack shit in that situation.

People were always complaining that supports (besides Thresh) didn't have much expression of skill. So they gave us Rakan. Personally, I like the fact that they made a support that isn't so binary. The only way to make him not binary is to give him more tools to use.

Nothing feels tacked on to his kit. Every ability is geared towards it's singular purpose, with no extra stuff added in for kicks and giggles.

So no, I don't think he's overloaded. Strong, yes, but not overloaded.

for a support he is 100% overloaded. idiots wont get that right away, so wait about a month or two for some diamond 1 player stomping with him in normal games vs new players to make a guide and all the sheep will follow. you would have to be a vegetable to not be able to see that his kit is ridiculous for a support.

He's easily countered by a high pressure lane(IE MF Support and any ADC) as is his ADC counterpart. They are not OP and I have yet to lose a single game to one. Stop complaining because you haven't figured out how to beat him. What are you bonze V?

Pumba's kit is overloaded regardless. He might not have the hard cc, shielding, or healing, but you just basically admitted that his kit is overloaded. Overloaded kits usually become powerhouses and yes, they will find a way he works for lcs because there's simply to much there to ignore. The main advantage I see him having over all other supports is his Yasuoesque mobility. As everyone knows mobility is huge in LCS where timing is critical to a win or loss. I'm not saying he's going to be a stomp or insta-lock but he wont be ignored as he is now. It will probably lead to some stat nerfs but honestly, there is too many champions in this game to have a kit overloaded like that. It will get the Lulu treatment most likely.
