Dragon is the God of Bronze-Platinum Elo

So, playing on this level 24 account I've come across many bronze-platinum ranked players. Bronze-Gold players are all the same, the only difference between a bronze player and a gold player is the size of their ego. Platinum players tend to fuck up less, but all a platinum player is is a bronze/silver/gold player with a Diamond+ friend that carried them to Diamond but then ended up losing their way back to platinum.

Bronze-Platinum players are all obsessed with the fucking Dragon and it annoys me. We will win a major teamfight and I will ping the fuck out of the inhibs, and my team will rush to the dragon and I'll say, "All hail God Dragon, allow him to carry us to victory"

So, lets talk about what the Dragon does.

Dragon spawns 2:30 into the game. It has a 6 minute respawn timer.

These are the buffs dragon provides:

DRAGON'S MIGHT: +6% attack damage and ability power DRAGON'S WRATH: +15% damage to towers and buildings DRAGON'S FLIGHT: +5% movement speed DRAGON'S DOMINANCE: +15% damage to minions and monsters ASPECT OF THE DRAGON: Doubles all previous bonuses and your attacks burn for 150 true damage over 5 seconds. This stack only lasts 180 seconds or until death.

NOTICE THE END OF THE 5th STACK! Lasts only 180 seconds or until death.

So, at the absolute best case scenario you will receive the god-almighty 5th dragon 32:30 into the game. Aside from that, all the bonuses Dragon provides are total shit until late in the game. What is +6% attack damage and AP going to do for you 10-20 minutes into the game? +15% damage to towers and buildings is shit and is the difference between destroying a tower in 10 seconds and 8.5 seconds, hardly worth giving the enemy team a triple kill over. +5% movement speed is nice, but won't help you much in a teamfight. +15% damage to minions and monsters? Are you seriously going to get yourself killed over this?

Dragon is not worth it unless you plan on getting 5 dragons. Here is my favorite argument though, "omg you noob ugh but in LCS they dooo omg wahhh" First off, if you bring up LCS you are a fucking idiot. That would be like if we were to play football at the park with your friends and you said, "But in the NFL they must make sure the football has 12.5-13.5 psi" If you are in ranked team 5v5s, you shouldn't have to read this thread to know how to strategize to win. If you are playing solo/duo queue 5v5s however, this thread applies to you. What professional league players do does not apply to you.

So? What about dragon? Dragon isn't something to be ignored. Look at your team comp, does your team scale poorly into late game? Do you have Renekton/Sivir/Lee Sin/ etc.. on your team? Then you really want the damn dragon. Do you have Nasus/Vayne/Jinx/Jax/Tryndamere/etc.... on your team? You want to make sure the other team doesn't get 5 dragons. The bonuses provided by dragon are minimal until they are doubled at the 5th stack, keep that in mind. The soonest a team can have 5 dragons is at 32:30, and that is highly unlikely. Keep that in mind. If you scale well, especially if you are not in position to defend dragon, push some fuckin turrets while the other team circle-jerks around the dragon.

I'm sick of the damn dragon.

I jungle, and I agree with you.

I determined that whoever goes for dragon first and earliest is at a huge disadvantage (in terms of jungling)

You're not ganking, you're putting yourself a level behind the other jungler, and you're spending resources/potions/time to get the first buff which is completely useless until late game.

I love other junglers who go for dragon first, because I get to gank lanes with zero risk.

Most others haven't seen this truth, but I'm glad you have.

I've been saying this every game for the last 50 games, if you didn't start your thread by insulting everyone below diamond, then it'd be a good post, but with the trash you talk at the beginning, few people will read it through and it invalidates your opinion because if the opening statement is wrong, then people will disregard the rest as wrong too

Also I'm specifically talking solo.

If you sweep bot lane, of COURSE you take dragon (after turret). That's not what I'm talking about.
