I Will Report You...

If you do any of things, I will report you.

  1. If you build your character in a unique way
  2. If you play your champions in any way that is considered "meta breaking" (proxy singed!)
  3. I will insult your family and report you if you give up first blood
  4. I will report you if you play jungler and you don't gank my lane multiple times
  5. I will report you for playing poorly... IN A NORMAL GAME LOLOLOL
  6. If you ask me to do anything I don't want to do, including you asking me if I can keep my lane warded because I like to push and am 0-11 because of it. ITS MY LIFE

.... okay lol I had to stop. This is an online game, if I couldn't handle constructive criticism I would gtfo the internet. If you leave the game and cause me to lose my promos, it sucks, but its cool. I'm confident I'll get another chance anyways, and besides LeaverBuster will get you, no stress. If you feed, so long as its not intentional, its okay. So long as you put forth an effort. If you tried something new, awesome! Good for you. If you get pissed off because I failed at ganking your lane, its cool, venting is fine, however...

If someone starts flaming like crazy throughout the course of the whole match and won't stfu and starts calling people racial slurs and whatnot, permanently ban that fuckwad because that is the ultimate internet scum. Generally, maintaining a positive attitude prevents this from happening.

The flaming snowball:

This is how many flames start:

  1. Person A dies
  2. Person B says, "wtf gg noob"
  3. Person A dies again and is again criticized by player B.
  4. Person A goes crazy and starts cursing everyone out

How to prevent this from happening:

  1. Person A dies
  2. Person B says, "wtf gg noob"
  3. You say, "Its okay guys, we still got this." "stay calm"
  4. Throughout the game, complement each player on the team on the plays they make, because you know this team is an emotional time-bomb waiting to explode

TL;DR - Quit being sensitive, be open-minded, be nice to other people and be understanding of those that get frustrated, and report the flamers.

NOTICE HOW I DIDN'T SAY THE WORD TOXIC ONCE IN THIS THREAD UNTIL NOW. I would say over 50% of the people that use that word are toxic themselves. Never have I ever seen a term repeated sooo many times within a game community that is of that nature.

Every time I hear the word "toxic" from the community, I just kind of cringe as my body tries to actively reject the word's existence. We live in an age where all the knowledge in the world is more or less at our fingertips, and we as a people can't be bothered to crack open a thesaurus =/

Huh, and I just thought we used toxic because it is jargon for the issue described. I mean it isn't like people mean the actual word when they use it usually, and I think riot at least always uses it to refer to a specific behavioral pattern that is more pervasive than a particular instance or the actual definition of toxic. Maybe I'm wrong though, haven't checked myriam-webster's in a little while

Person b in your example isn't really giving criticism and is just straight up insulting person a. You can't really expect people to be completely emtionless and not be affected by what the negatives people say.

I hate trolls and feeders like anyone but I have never been in game where someone clowns on someone for giving up first blood unless you die before minions spawn.
