riot made a video about this a while back. https://youtu.be/g6rNjrWalvc but i was curious.. what things do u KNOW you say wrong, that you always say wrong anyways.

i always call "leech bane" and not "lich bane"

and i call shack-oh.. and i always spell it "shako" because i played diablo 2. (which is weird because in diablo 2 i pronounced "skako" "shake-oh")

and i have heard a few streamers call "laundry's torment"

and even some riot pronounces wrong... its "NID uh lee".. NOT "Need uh lee"

stangely enough i DO know how to properly pronouce

itsa pronounced "Jin" zhao

like zhao

one of the books in the "enders game" saga (i think "children of the mind") has a main char named Xin zhao, which i listened to on audio book

what do you say wrong?

Because pronouncing it as Vee is much sexier and cute. You guys/gals may understand why I do it if I use a figure of speech. Think of it as... one of those people who you think is harmless but can and will go on a rampage and do alot of damage if provoked. That is Vee for me.

i always pronounce her "call ist uh" and i THINK that's correct if i remember her champ spotlight video correctly.. then again.. Nidalee spotlight pronounces her wrong name wrong, so who knows.

I thought it was Need-a-lee for the longest time

Still not 100% sure on Veigar. There seems to be a split between vie-gar(vie as in die) and vay-gar.

Tbh I have no idea how you would pronounce Xin Zhao, at least "properly". I know a lot of people say Zin Zow or something to that effect, but I always figured it was something strange like Shin Jow

What about Zilean?

I always say Veigar with a hard "i" because this is how it's usually done in most languages. If the I is after the E then it's the I that gets the emphasis. Like in German.

im pretty sure its "vee ger", the villian in "jak 3" mad a habit of pronouncing his name that way at least. so that's how i pronounce it

if you watch the video they linked, everyone pronounces it V-aye-gar. that being said, i still say V-eye-gar.

Xin Zhao i go all try hard and attempt to pronounce it in Chinese.

Some people claim im right. I think the Chinese speakers were telling me i was right while poking fun of me behind my back.

I cannot pronounce Udyr properly. I've tried. I does not feel good to say oo-deer. I call him oo-dur. I also pronounce as Vee. Shyvana as Shyv-ana and not Shy-vana. Veigar as VAY-gar. XinZhao as Zin Zow Yasuo as Yas-ow Shaco as SHAY-co, and it hurts my ears to hear someone say SHACK-o :( I'm probably completely wrong with all these, and I blame it on growing up in Tennessee. However, I regret nothing.
