Wanna know how to make Zoe more fair without totally destroying her kit?

So, Meddler is effectively removing Zoe as a viable mid laner next patch (he even admits that he expects the nerfs to be too harsh), because people complain about her being broken and unfun and all that when she's really not that great outside of competitive play.

People complain about being sniped from the fog of war, and that she has too much waveclear (even though she doesn't), and her one shots.

Sooo...

  • The indicator Zoe gets to show where her star will land? Yeah, make that visible to everyone. Now people see the star coming a whole second beforehand, and can move out of the way (and also can't complain when they get hit).

  • Lower the travel speed of the second cast on Q a bit, so people who have arthritis can dodge it too.

Now you can see her Q coming, right?

  • Next, remove her passive from her Q damage, but buff her passive damage a bit.

  • And lower the initial base damage on her star, but slightly increase the distance scaling, so shotgunning isn't as effective, but it's still decent at mid-long range.

So, now she's not goinna one shot from out of nowhere, you can't complain about it since you see it coming, and she's more of an outplay / combo mage instead of a sniper (though she can still snipe people just fine, and burst people with her combo, it just requires more than Q and is more for setting up picks).

This is on top of the E nerf she's already getting. Ideally, you'd drop all the additional nerfs Meddler is doing.

But with how the League community is these days... people won't be happy until Zoe has a <10% winrate and no one wants to gimp their team by playing her.

I like this idea +1

It's too bad no one, not even Riot, wants Zoe to be viable.

Zoe is fair. She does less damage with a full combo than Xerath, but because she does it in one damaging instance instead of 3 abilities one after the other like Xerath has to, people who dont care to look up numbers say shes broken. Zoe is just Xerath with slightly less damage, less sustain, lower range, worse CC and more outplay potential.

Oh I know she's fair. In fact, I call her weak. But everyone keeps hating on her, and they're spamming her in LC$, so Riot has to answer all that.

I just want her to be at least playable. With Meddler's current nerfs though, she won't be anything but a (bad) support.

I play a lot of Zoe(nearly 200k Mastery), she may be a little weak as a carry/burst mage after the nerf but she should still be viable as a support mid. Just let the changes go through and see where they land before doom saying. We just have to hope that Riot continues to monitor her and look at her afterwards nd don't just nerf and forget.

Getting rid or unfair summons like teleport is a step in the right direction and possibly moving more dmg into her W may conpensate the power loss a bit as well.

Putting damage into her W doesn't make her fun to play though. Just turns her into Ahri v. 2 with less damage and longer CDs. They should put the damage into her passive, or find a way to tune her Q to allow it to be stronger without being overbearing, as both abilities are more fun to use and more interactive to play against.

All that does is make her w stronger it doesnt actually change how you play with her, you are still going to want too setup your combos the same way, your combos will just be weaker. Furthermore they did put damage into her passive, while they got rid of the double proc of Q they buffed the amount her passive does, meaning her W gets double buffed. As far as Ahri 2.0 goes, Ahri's W is almost nothing like Zoe's W and you know it, if you want people to think you know what you are talking about never say that again.

Three orbs that auto-target the nearest thing to you and do damage -- sounds similar. Though, in Zoe's case, you have to hurt them first, and it can target structures.

But see, I don't enjoy Ahri's W, nor do I enjoy the damage portion of Zoe's W. It's not fun and not interactive. It's just extra ambient damage. I don't want to play a Zoe whose kit is focused on her W. But, because people refuse to learn how to read telegraphs and avoid things, it looks like that's what we'll get.
