I'm gonna ask the same question to anyone that hates on autofill because of a bullshit reason like this:

How is it Riots fault for some people having a garbage attitude?

Because RIot often makes bad decisions that upset their players customers.

That's not an answer to my question.

yes it is. Roit has to know it's customer base that's it's job. auto fill isn't saving time it's costing us time and that's riots fault not the players. players are going to do what they do which is Dodge roit has to know this and adjust.

No it's not. It's not Riots fault for some spoiled brats constantly dodging because of their "mimimi didn't get what I wanted" mentality.

so every day in a random park everyone who walks in to that park gets shot in the head. it's OK for you to take your kid in there? hey it's not on you it's on the assholes who were doing the shooting?

no Roit knows we're going to dodge we're going to make the game slower we're going to ruin it for you why make a rule that encourages them do that?

When you are a business that provides a service to people (players/customers), it is your responsibility to make sure the customer base is satisfied and happy with your service or product.

That includes addressing problems caused by changes or updates to that service, which may indirectly cause your customer base problems with using said service, whether those problems were a direct cause of that change or an indirect cause.

Autofill is an example of an indirect cause -- other players(customers) dodging often (because of Autofill) -- hence the overall customer experience is one that is negative (longer wait times), which goes contrary to the whole purpose of installing Autofill in the first place.

In which, again, we don't need to tackle autofill but the players garbage mindset.

Sure that's a great and lofty goal -- changing the way millions of people think -- but it's just not realistic as an immediate fix, if ever. Right now the system only 'slightly' discourages queue doging; you lose a little LP, get a queue dodge timer, etc.

However, the issues with Autofill are more insidious than just "omg so many people dodge games"... it goes into the game itself, and how players play. When you force someone to fulfill a role they didn't originally sign up for, you're lowering the quality value of those games. In turn, that can result in a loss, affecting the other 4 players on that team (not to mention there may be other players autofilled into roles as well).

In time that affects players' overall attitude toward the game, and that can cause loss in revenue for Riot. After all, who'd want to buy skins for a champ they're playing if they are forced to play a different one for a different role every so often?

Additionally, yes you have the problem of increased queue wait times, as well as frustrated players that finally do get into queue but then THOSE pre-game lobby queues are dodged, resulting in a vicious looped cycle of waiting again on queue.

That's a bullshit argument, in earlier seasons you weren't ready for ranked if you didn't know how to play every role to a decent level. That's exactly what I meant with the spoiled brats.

Except last season we still had things like team builder and the current 2 role selection we have now. Whole season of being able to specify your intended roles. And you know why? Because the player base WANTED to be able to do that. For a long time.

So my argument is still valid.

I 100% agree with Autofill in normal games...but in ranked. Lets be honest...we all want the role we play often. I can't count the number of times I am ADC and get a support who has 0 clue what they are doing...and my lane proceeds to become a farm lane because of it. I would rather wait an extra 5-10 minutes if it meant I would get one of my roles.
