I'll be honest here, I prefer the way Riot has it.
Your edited one looks out of place because the champion's icon is in the way of our sight focus. I prefer Riot's way.

How it SHOULD look:
Bad troll is bad troll, you know you can probably switch their location right? Just like on the current you can switch the minimap and portrait around, which is how i currently have it because it's easier for me to pan down to my left to look at the minimap than right. I mean they did say in their post that it's going to be pretty customizable.
I want a hud that isn't a hud because its a waste of my fucking screen space. How about that? I press tab for info I need. Only cooldowns are shown. No extra designs. Just cooldowns on a tiny buff icon like the one you see above ashe's passive. Those tiny icons are all I want on my screen.
riot needs to let us have free modifies on our huds.

Think about why they put them over there. The empty space allows red side to see/cast in the direction of blue better.
