Ohmwrecker Change to a Support Item? Also, Friendly Turret Additions.

Just some quick thoughts on a change, lemme know what you think. Main thing is check out the active change but also I changed the item to a support based item because I feel as though any laner would prefer to get offensive stats if they wanted to dive, whereas a support with Coin could actually benefit from being able to psuedo-waveclear.

item 3056 2650g builds from item 2053 1200g + item 3096 850g + 600 Combine Cost +50 armor | +200% base health regeneration | +50% base mana regeneration

UNIQUE PASSIVE– FAVOR: Being near a minion death without dealing the killing blow grants 6 Gold and restores 10 Health (1400 range), upped to 9 gold while Riftsurge is active. UNIQUE PASSIVE – POINT RUNNER: Grants +20% bonus movement speed that build up over 2 seconds when near turrets (including fallen turrets).

UNIQUE ACTIVE – Riftsurge: Prevents nearby enemy towers from attacking for 3 seconds (120 second cooldown). For up to 10 seconds, nearby friendly towers with Penetrating Bullets gain 50% bonus attack speed and an additional 40% attack speed upon striking a minion, stacking up to 4 times for a total bonus of 210% bonus attack speed. For the same duration, nearby friendly towers with Lightning Rod deal 25% increased damage to minions and chain their attacks upon hitting an enemy, hitting up to 4 additional targets for damage.

Limitations Limited to 1 Gold Income item.

It is a support oriented item already, it's just gimmicky as hell.

For the sake of equality you would probably need to create a 3rd upgrade option to item 3303 and item 3302 if this change in the recipe were to go through - unless you want this item to replace item 3069 , which seems like a terrible idea because its active is very iconic to the support class.

I agree with your first statement and I definitely was considering 3rd upgrades for both spellthiefs and relic shield, but I hadn't gotten that far yet. I have some ideas (one big one for relic shield) but it's not fleshed out yet.

However, I am very curious to know if you think the above changes would make the item any less gimmicky. I can't tell you how many times I wish I could clear even one minion wave by myself as a support, just to buy time for others to arrive.

Targons Tier 3 if you're bored. This was an old idea I had that wasn't originally from a GP5 item. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/ytF01h9a-new-item-summon-shielding-minion-from-relic-shield-tier-3-that-follows-an-ally

I don't think Smite needs more usefulness... honestly don't want to see top laners spam it again.

The active would probably be best saved for when your team gets dove on.

Yeah, it would be pretty hard to balance on smite. I think that summoner spell is actually in a very good spot right now. But hey, never hurts to consider the possibilities.

And yes, I agree it would be best used during dives (either offensive or defensive); particularly, I think this would be a great item for lanes who are behind a bit and the support really needs a boost to keep the ADC alive.

I actually like the suggestion to make it one of the Smite items, for super hard dives.

Hm, that definitely could be interesting. Smite the turret rather than enemy champions to disable it? Seems cool. My biggest concern though is that I feel as though it could completely outclass the other smite options.

item 3715 Challenging Smite can be cast on enemy champions, reducing their damage against you and making them take true damage over 3 seconds from your basic attacks for the duration. item 3706 Chilling Smite can be cast on enemy champions, dealing true damage and stealing their movement speed for 2 seconds. summoner 11 Wrecking Smite can be cast on enemy towers, disabling them for 3 seconds. Towers cannot be disabled more than once every 8 seconds.

I would make it less than two seconds, given that it's supposed to be for that early game advantage and not cost a whole lot. Maybe 1-1.5 seconds of disable. That way it does the job it's supposed to but it can be played around and countered.

I feel like that may leave it lack luster then. It would only prevent one tower shot and if you didn't time it right then it would be a big wiff. Kind of like Teemo where you shoot your blind and still get hit by the ADC aa before your dart hits them. :P Definitely something to think about though.
