Why is the attutide of this game so "Canis Canem Edit"

I mean seriously, and that means "dog eat dog" for people who do not understand latin.

Why are people just horrible in this game, to their own team, to their enemy team? I mean what drives people to do this. Its a proven fact that abusing your teamates can make the enemy team stronger because you are destroying the morale of the player who has had a bad game. You are compounding on a list of complex problems (so you are defeating yourself).

Why is everyone so concerned about rank, it really does not mean anything about your skill in the game since you can essentially get to Diamond by spamming one, particularly easy or overpowered choice... you arn't learning anything about LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, just repeating the same actions over and over again.

I'm not saying Diamond players and above do not deserve respect but that is not an excuse to belittle your teammates and other people on the boards. Your opinion DOES NOT carry more weight if you are Diamond or Bronze because its an opinion, its uniquely yours and everyone should have their opinions respected.

The community in this game are so toxic, a guy writes a legitimate topic Link about the lack of respect for support mains and everyone goes "Oh maybe you arn't that good a support". I mean seriously, how is that attitude going to help anyone. How is anyone going to learn and grow if everyone is just vicious and criticises each other for the smaller mistake. This is a player community, this isn't for money, we do it for fun and nobody deserves that behavior.

King of the League of Legends Nerds is still a Nerd people... so maybe everyone shouldn't be so loudly proclaiming their rank?

I think it has to do with the fact that there are two generations playing the game.

One generation that was raised to do the best they can at anything they do. (The coat tails)

One generation that was raised to show up and all is fine. AKA Trophy Generation. (Most will always be dragged around their life by a coat tail)

You have two different viewpoints clashing and you get the toxic trash that is an online community.

People like to feel superiority or unique, even to their own teammates. The only visible way of making this downward comparison to others is by rank.

I don't really understand the behavior to fellow team members either, arrogance and selfishness has always been a liability in team-oriented games. I think one of the reason is some people don't like to admit flaws. Ex. You had a bad game, but instead of looking at what you could have done differently, you'd blame your support. Ultimately making you feel better about yourself but disadain toward the other person.

There is no fault, there is no failure, only opportunity for greatness. Toxic players please realize that if a lane fed hard or failed to react as you expected then really it is a chance to show off how good you really are at a game by carrying them anyhow.
