I keep wanting to play the new Soraka, and I have once or twice and that's it. Everytime I put I want to play her someone on my own team bans her. I ask why and they say because it's Soraka and she's broken? I've played against the new Soraka once, and completely stomped her face with Leona. All you have to do is play an early game support, and maybe an aggressive jungler like Shaco and it's so easy to shut down her lane. Or am I missing something?
Mimy2 votesShe is still pretty powerful, the new changes weren't meant to kill her. but more to balance her out. Her healing power is still there you just need to land Q more often. and the rejuvenation will make up for the small heal nerf . #ESPICALLY IF your ADC is running the RUNIC ARMOR mastery that makes heals on THEM more potent.
Cough cough... you can get it with the 12 points you have left for the second area....
Enough about how to make Soraka OP but how to counter her.
I play Soraka, I saw an enemy ADC rush 
. It didn't do much at first, but after a while it started to shut my healing down HARD!
Smart ADCs can take advantage of, and counter a Soraka.

Her ban rate has little to do with her actual strength (although she is doing well atm), it's mostly based on how it feels to play against her, and it is such an unpleasant experience that many people, myself included, would gladly spend a ban on her. I mean, if one ban means I can have fun bot lane, that seems like a fair price.

That said, the LCS lags behind a week when it comes to patches, so it wouldn't include any of her changes to her Q interaction.

That's what the changes were meant to fix. Soraka was building tanky, and healing without interacting with anyone else.
Every competent Soraka player wanted to get 
's active, because once you got it, you were unstoppable. Usually they'd get it just before late game hit, and then from then on you could sustain your team through anything.
That was broken, now she can't do that. The W nerfs have stopped Soraka players from building health because you do so much damage to yourself for a tiny heal early game. Now it's much better to build HP Regen and utility, with some AP on the side.
Sorakas still max W first, but you're no longer required to max E second. You can choose between E and Q based on who you're up against, and that's another really healthy change.

When my duo and I see her get banned we're just like "Waste of a ban" because honestly she's not anywhere near as bad as she's made out to be. Rather play against her than cancercrank.

DarkRitual1 votesThe movespeed on her new Q is so strong. You can trade so well moving in, landing Q, and running off while you heal up. And then you hit level 2 and bring your adc in for the fun.
