Any reason Lulu or Ryze haven't been touched on the PBE yet?

Just wondering why somebody like Karthus actually managed to get a nerf before Lulu or Ryze did in this preseason/early season

Why would Lulu get nerfed haven't they punished support champions for being played in other lanes enough?

I don't know many support champions that are being played in the other lanes except lulu.

Most mage supports were champions intended to be mid laners but changed roles.

Unorthodox supports are easy to create really. You just need to answer these two questions. 1) Can this champ bring anything to the team without relying on levels or items? and 2) Does this champions kit work well in a duo lane?

Many mages by default answer the first question, since a lot of their spell have lots of CC. which is neutral of how much AP you have built. And even with poke oriented supports, the base damage is enough. They also answer the second question with Either abilities that can target allies, (A shield) or they have abilities that can affect both lane opponents. (Like say, Brand ult.)

If you can answer both of those questions, you probably have good reason to try it as an off meta pick. And if they can hold up against other supports, they you have a good support.

Because Riot nerfed them out of existence. See Sona, Janna, Soraka, Taric, Alistar and probably some others I'm forgetting about.

Leona She wasn't ever a support(she's not even tagged as one) but she's played there and there alone. I remember when even Bots used to play Leona top.

Because no matter what lane she's in she always manages to be a pain in the ass.

I think riot has a huge problem balancing her because she has decent poke with pretty good disengage, which is something you generally don't want because it can easily be too strong.

Or they could revert all the nerfs and cut the effectiveness of her Q to 40% vs minions.

But lulu recently got a small buff, her Mana regen was changed from 9 to 11. Though it's not enough.

That was a compensation buff. One of Lulu's strongest aspects was that her Whimsy was unaffected by Tenacity, making her CC strong at all stages against all targets. That was recently changed.

Donno what changed but her Whimsy is affected by tenacity now and It'll be blocked by wind wall. I wish her W wasn't blocked by anything. W is work on Braum even with his wall up, his wall will be active but he can't do anything else but run away, instead of advancing/using his ult to initiate.

Nerfing Lulu would only create more problems by pigeonhole her into solo lanes more than support already. Unless she gets a full rework, nerfs do nothing to her general power.

But hey, why bother playing someone that requires thought while you can just blindly mash buttons and watch extreme ~~and boring~~ skilled mechanics?????

######Reduced Q damage on minions when? Free AP on allies other than herself upon whimsy cast when? :(

I honestly never understood that decision. It would have been fairly easy to just make it so that only allies could get the boost, the explanation of "Her utility scales with AP" was just weak considering there were other ways of remedying her kit.

Riot considers Ryze one of the most balanced champs in all of league. They hardly ever touch him for that reason.
