Anyone else thinking SBP (Stoneborn Pact) would be OP on support Sion?

Sure the heal is halved for ranged champions, but with 100% potential up time, and with Sion's infinite health scaling, I can just imagine how much healing he will be putting out for his team in fights with all of his "movement impairing effects", especially if he ends up grabbing item 3022 item 3025 and item 3143 which he can easily do without any significant build issues.

BTW on a side note, what about Ashe? Her kit has a built in slow, so would she also be able to apply this almost always. Grant it she is not topping the "Champions with highest health pool" list but she can get around 2000, maybe 2500 which is a 100 heal. Just a thought.

Late game yes. Early game it'd be weaker.

Sion's w stacking is a joke. It's a facade people get hung up on and forget that his base hp growth is abysmal as well as his base armor.

sigh

I know goddamn it. Everyone fucking knows. It's not a secret.

Sorry but I'm just annoyed about people constantly bringing it up. I know it's bad and all I can hope for is for the vanguard update to do a kindness to his stats.

Though personally I'm afraid that if his base defenses become decent, Riot will have to nerf his damage. Which makes his indeed telegraphed abilities a lot less rewarding to actually hit. He might as well be made a permanent support if that happened.

#Fuck it. Let's make every goddamn tank into Alistar! Cause that's what everyone FUCKING WANTS apparently.

Don't be silly you goon. Sion would not need a compensation for something like +10 more hp per level buff.

People praise him because his kit is balanced, not his numbers. His numbers need help, because sion is fucking garbage right now and is only a decent-ish support.

I'd be fine with something like that honestly.

Sorry about the post. The boards have been making me a bit pissy today.

mmm yes.

Let it be known that your main's hp stacking is vastly inferior to a certain void creature with a voracious appetite, and it's not kog maw. Hell, he's even getting his hp stacking buffed next patch.

Don't get me started on Cho doing Sion's thing.

If you farm well, getting over 500 hp is easy, and that is just about the same amount that most other tanks get on base stats ~2200 hp. Anything after that is profit, and tends to allow you to build fewer health items than most other tanks.

It's quite frequent that I get 600 hp from his passive in good 30 minute games, and you also have to factor in that sion's hp gain rate is actually slightly faster than hp gain per level, so despite him being very squishy early, he's actually tanker than other tanks in the midgame to lategame barring only cho, Shen (auto immunity), and maybe malphite.

I'm happy I finally have a good reason to go utility Tank zilean ^_^

Support Sion is far better off with CoC. It lets him engage and survive being hit by multiple enemies on a support's reduced item budget.

Considering they'll be CC'd for ~3 seconds if you get a good ult off (multi hit), and that if you hit the right champions, there should be very little threat left that isn't CC'd... I dunno, man. I'm not sure I need an extra shield to survive the Malphite damage.

It sounds like you are assuming best case stun durations. More likely, you will land an E, then a minimum duration disable from Q, then a minimum duration disable from R. And, chances are, you're stun target will be the enemy support who is out-of-position trying to protect their adc. It's also possible that you are defending from a jungle gank, in which case your Q will save your adc and leave you vulnerable. Regardless, you really need the shield.

Sion's base health is low af due to his W stacking, so it'd be only average mid-game. He'd need to get over 400 health stacked before it actually starts being more effective than on another tank... and he's support, meaning he gets minimal stacks.
