Can we stop beating around the bush Riot
I realise you don't like nerfing champions "identity" and "unique aspects of their kit" but let's be real. Some of these (
Q cooldown) are just totally toxic (
self peel to stave off weaknesses) in conjunction with the rest of their kit (
Q damage).
We've seen what happens when you cling on to what makes a champion broken (
mobility,
stealth,
double-crit chance), and while it might suck to see some of these things get nerfed, adapted, or even removed completely, it would certainly be for the best.
I've noticed more nerfs to Azir, and lo and behold, his Q damage CONTINUES to go unchanged. Honestly Azir perplexes me the most since his Q for the most part is the most underwhelming part of his kit. I speak for myself here, not sure how many other Azir players would agree, but I'd be totally fine with Q being solely for repositioning and applying the slow. It would provide more counterplay as well because people won't get chunked for 1/2 their health before being able to respond.
I'll tell why I started League, because I initially hated it, and it was when my brother showed me Yasuo. Suddenly I had 2k RP and bought him instantly, I played him near non-stop til level 30, all the time blinded to how boring he really was from a few things:
- wonder at how good the game was (never played a moba before)
- loved playing Yasuo for thematic reasons
- had no understanding of how the game even vaguely worked
Naturally though, number 1 and 2 lost most of their luster with time and 3 changed with experience, and only recently did I realise I didn't like playing Yasuo's kit. It's so cheesy and gimmicky and the play style his stupid passive forces on you is boring. I have to be so careful ulting so I don't end up like: "that was a sick ult, oh hey I blew up". Why couldn't Yasuo have been a top lane bruiser? Why the hell does he even NEED 2x crit. His whole kit has suffered at some point due to that passive.
And it seems you still haven't learnt from that. And I don't want to be forced into playing Azir as a poke Mage because you refuse to nerf his Q damage.
