How to make a fair and balanced game, by Rito:

Niyumi··4 votes·740 views

Step One: Make the literal easiest champs in the game the strongest, even though they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but auto spam / click on you. Then call it balance.

Step Two: Make every item said AA spammers could ever want, for any situation, and eliminate any weakness they have. And remove any kind of counter items, like spellvamp, but leave the AD counterpart (even though spellvamp was just TOXIC).

Step Three: Nerf any champion who can compete against said clickers, or any champion too hard for whales to play.

Step Four: Make skins for easy champs, buff them, and market them to little kids who love things like cyborgs, edgy ninjas and samurais, and boobs.

Step Five: Profit -- and pocket all the money instead of putting it back into your game.

Quality? Nah, fuck that. Balance? Not lucrative enough. Gotta love F2P -- thanks for enabling shitty companies kids.

But hey, Rito cares, guys. It shows in the quality of their work, and how much they put into their game... oh wait.

Can you stop posting troll threads please?

Oh, yeah, my bad. I don't advocate greed, and dislike it when assholes reward incompetence for money. I'm just a troll for that.

Your posts are always nonsense and it's just you ranting.

Are you Caitlyn's smurf?

Niyumi1 votes

Always nonsense, yet always about the same recurring issue: The easy champions are, by far, the strongest ones. Harder champions are not rewarded for successfully using their kit, and this is why they are never played, even in Worlds, and have abysmal winrates. But Rito just keeps assuring us they care greatly, and are working their hardest to balance the game, when that is just a blatant lie (which uh, you know, is something you can sue over).

And no, for the millionth time, I am no one's smurf.

They are not, Yasuo, Riven, Azir are very rewarding when played well. Easy champions aren't.

And that is a balance problem. Most easy champions aren't nearly as good as the complicated ones because the easy ones are one-dimensional while the harder ones have many possibilities.

Yasuo, Riven... hard? No. Not in the slightest. But, tell me: How many times have you been one shot by a skillshot? Hm, I can't think of any. Now, how many times have you been one shot by Cait / Jinx or something like Annie? Countless times. The braindead clickers have absurd amounts of damage, and just one shot people, while the harder champs have to whittle people down.

And it doesn't matter if you're one-sided so long as you instantly win every fight just by pushing R or right clicking on someone.

while i disagree with so much of the saltiness within this post, i agree that spell vamp should not have been removed. this coming from a support "main."

Niyumi1 votes

Oh but if we had spellvamp, mages would sustain like crazy! If that happened, then ADCs wouldn't be the fucking gods of the game with their absurd sustain, damage and range! Now, we can't have that, can we?

Gotta remember: Whales don't like being outplayed. They just want to win through the smallest amount of effort possible.

Vladimir would be more of a balance mess. That's why it was removed, because he held it back.

Niyumi1 votes

No, that's just their excuse. It still exists on Akali and Morgana, and Gunblade still turns Akali into a fucking hyper tank. They just needed an excuse, and Vlad was it.

Ralanr3 votes

Akali's gonna get a rework. Vladimir was literally the sustain health made. Items will spellvamp would need to be balanced around him or he would need to be balanced around those items. Which was a problem since it didn't allow build versatility at all.

Niyumi1 votes

Alright, so how do you justify lifesteal? ADCs aren't balanced around it, and as a stat it eliminates their only weakness and allows them to 1v5 and win.

As I said in other threads, Vlad with WOTA never healed for 720+ a second, like ADCs do, and he was really short range and easy to kite (still is).

Ralanr2 votes

I'm not justifying lifesteal. I'm just explaining why spellvamp didn't work.

Have you ever played adc? You literially have 5 people trying to kill you. Have you ever had to play against Zed or Yasuo or even Leblanc? Hell even Vlad, Syndra, lissandra Malz are a pain in the arse to deal with.

In order to gain anything from Lifesteal you have to sit there and auto attack someone, Spell vamp can be used from long range and for huge unpredictable life gain. The AP items available offer large amounts of defensive stats while few of the AD items offer any, at least not those paired with lifesteal.

If you were to have spell vamp it would have to be on an item with no AP, you'd have to nerf vlad and swain and kennen and probably akali.

Removing spell vamp has been good for the game.

I am pretty sure Yasuo, Zed, Riven, Lee Sin, Vayne aren't "easy to play", hell I know I can't play them. They seem to be the most popular (I didn't check).

Riot is a company they have to make money, considering what they could be doing to make this game play to win and squeezing money out of people they haven't done that. They have put a lot of effort into the skins, that is clear, recent skins have been pretty great. However skins and balance teams are completely different people, there is no taking from one to give to the other.

Yes, I have played ADC many times. And, you know, more often than not I have a really easy time just stomping all over everyone because I can just click on them and be done with it. Doesn't matter if people want me dead, since I have a team keeping them busy.

LeBitch is cancer to lane against, but the rest are easy to deal with, minus Malz.

Alright, so let's say the average ADC now has 40% lifesteal every game, thanks to Bloodthirster and a Mercurial. Average crit is ~900. 900 x .40 = 360. And they auto twice a second. So, every second, they're healing for 720 health. You don't need defensive items when you are more of a drain tank than Vlad with WOTA EVER was. Lifesteal enables ADCs to overcome their supposed weakness of being squishy and easily focused. Could Vlad heal for 720 per second? I don't think so. Akali still does, but that's totally healthy 'cause she's a flashy clicker.

And all of those champs are very easy to play, by the way. The only thing that even makes Riven less than braindead is that you have to learn how to exploit the bugs that Rito refuses to fix on her, but instantly fixes on any other champ.

Yeah, Rito is a business, but they're already making a profit in the billions. Is it REALLY too much to ask them to at least give a damn about their product? I'd like for them to put more effort into their base game, not skins. And, yes, balance and skins are different teams, but the balance team gets a fraction of the funding the skins team does, and they can't actually balance the game or that'd ruin Riot's income potential.

Mercurials is pretty common but bloodthirster is not, if you build like that you just don't have enough crit damage to burn through a tank, you are building for survivibility not to deal damage at that point. you will just not be able to kill a tank. It doesn't really help when you get one or two shot, they are still really squishy. If your team can distract them then that is because they are bad (or your peel is good) not because ADC is OP.

Well that is because skins require more resources to make than changing numbers for balance. That is a silly conspiracy theory stop being dumb. They don't have things unbalanced just to make money, they have things unbalanced because balance is super super hard to achieve, possiblity impossible anddd perhaps they are a little incompetent at times, refusing to revert things has bugged me for a long time, although they did just revert Kog so maybe they are changing things.

ADC have to worry about positioning and burst.

ADC is not a simple position to play, maybe at low levels though

Niyumi1 votes

Right click > Win. All there is to ADC.

EVERY champion needs to position well, and EVERY champ needs to control burst. Nothing exclusive to an ADC.

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

Yeah pretty much this.

Most ADCs not called Graves will explode to a gust of wind.

Don't worry we have decided to help the players of Riot. We'll be releasing a long list of accounts and information access that'll provide you with the justice you need. As for what you do with them well who's to say.

Expect us.

Look at it this way: if EVERYBODY gets to be the ADCs counter, and also ADCs are a must every game. than 1 person gets to play a shitty role that is only good for taking towers and dying, and 1 other person gets to play his bodyguard.

2/5 people on team have sucky gameplay.

Also: yeah life steal is way out of bounds right now. probably good to remove vamp scepter and all child items of it from game.
