I think its time to do something about thresh

Thresh has been a dominant support since his release and has the ability to easily fit into any team comp. There has never been a time where he was any lower than top tier and his kit really has everything a support could need to make an impact in a game besides a heal. He is one of the only supports with an escape for a teammate that is also a shield, he has a stun/hook that he can choose to also use as a dash, a knockback/knockup, a box that has 5 sides with a 99% slow and solid base damage that can be used to disengage or make it very difficult for an enemy to escape.

I feel like every support that is played a lot gets changes within a reasonable amount of time to put their power in line with the rest of supports but thresh has more or less slipped under the radar for a long time. Although he is always around top 3 supports there is usually another support that gets attention over him (Ali currently).

He continues to be at the top of my list for a champion that I wouldn't mind getting the Zed treatment and being disabled in Solo Queue for a while.

Edit: Not sure why people are downvoting without saying their reasoning behind why they disagree.

Alright I'll bite.

Thresh is a very utility bases support. He only works well if the Thresh is good and has a reliable team. All of his skills can be used offensively or defensively. He is always useful even when he is behind.

Q - has a wind - up time and IMO has a pretty slow travel time. It's easily dodged. W - Provides a very minor shield and relocates an ally. Most times my lantern goes unclicked. E - Provides some damage for his autos, and can peel and bring an enemy closer. R - Provides a slow and some decent damage to the first person who hits a wall.

He is one of the hardest supports to learn, his team needs to be able to follow up on the plays that he brings to the table.

He is not a lane bully, has a pretty good amount of CC most of which are skill shots/ difficult to land compared to others (I'm looking at you Annie and Sona), and can be pretty tanky. Mostly depends if Thresh and his team are on the same page.

Too much utility turns him into a champion with no weakness.

Thresh isn't OP.
