I just realised that increasing the assassin burst window, would make mages better

Now you might say "oh yeah no shit sherlock"

But not in the way that mages get to survive,I'm talking about how Assassin vs Mages occasionally kill a target

so riot is going to approximately increase a burst duration of assassins from 0.5>1.5

now my question is,why pick an assassin when a mage can do the same BUT WITHIN A FRAME OF CROWD CONTROL,good examples are Ahri Syndra Orianna Velkoz Taliyah ,I'm not saying mages are OP af,but doesn't it bother anyone that its entirely possible this could occur

Assassins such as kat can simply Q + E + W and kill any squishy in .5 seconds. Now, most mage's attacks can be dodged. Ahri, Syndra, Orianna, Vel'koz, Taliyah..They all use skillshots.

Assassins: Elimate one target as quickly as possible. Can't do it from a distance, forcing them to get in the middle of a whole teamfight. They can take out the back line pretty easily and do it way faster than mages can because they don't usually have cast time.

Mages: While they do have cc, once they use it they are very vulnerable. They can do the same, if not more, damage than assassins in fights. They usually single out targets with cc so the rest of their team can kill them. Mages such as Vel'koz and Syndra can cause alot of disruption and just mess the whole team up with true damage or AOE stuns.

I would think general mobility could be taken into account too. Assassins usually have an easier time getting into and/or out of a fight. where as most mages are generally more immobile (Velkoz, Syndra, Azir) or more telegraphed in movement (Taliyah Ult, Azir Dash)

Ahri's not gonna kill ya with one rotation of spells unless she's really ahead.

Same with Ori and Taliyah.
