Damage Reduction/Nullify

To be fair; Fiora and Yi have no easy escapes and their damage reduction is locked behind channeled spells, Yi's being easily cancelled. Yas has more of a skillshot block with that windwall. Fiora is time sensitive. Trynd is just broken in general.
Yi can just press R to escape and he'll have his broken ult back in 60 seconds or less late game. Fiora has great chase and intra fight mobility, and an ok escape if she times her little dash right. Yas has passive (and twice if he procs shield on ult which is stupid easy to do) a wall, and insane mobility which is even more effective as he has the ability to dodge most or all skill shots or ranged autos, or simply get out of range of melee, poke with Q, then tornado ult and kill.
Yi cannot just press R to escape. You can't out-run anything if you're stunned.
Fiora's Q isn't long-range enough to escape unless she ran past your minions to kill you, in which case she could then get a reset (maybe two) off of your minions. But at that point she's extremely overextended.
Yasuo's E is useless for escaping, unless the above happens.

That doesn't save him from CC, and it is not damage reduction.
Skirmishers always have that.
True, but only the shield passive relates to the topic of Damage mitigation and nullification.
Try to read the topic before ranting

Em what? Whats the point of this thread?
Also technically speaking yi and irelia should be on the former group. They have damage reduction, while kayle, sivir, kindred, taric and noc in the latter. Hecarim is completely irrelevant in both groups.
An awesome downvote from me.
You forgot amumu... and annie is a weird pick for yes.
I think DR is overdone and only a few champs should have it and give champions more interesting forms of damage mitigation
Realistically, Irelia is a Diver - She SHOULD have some form of reduction(Or a fairly powerful shield) - A Diver's job is to dive in and be able to survive it through one manner or another, if played properly, without just diving in and back out like an Assassin would.
So...why shouldn't the squishy melee champion with no real escape (Except for Trynd) not have a way to reduce damage?
What makes Nocturne's spell shield any more fair than Fiora's W, anyways?
