So is the game getting more dependent on teamwork this season?

Every season with item changes/champion balance/gameplay changes sees a swing in how much individual performance means in a game for obvious reasons.

The item changes right now heavily affect how tanky people are and how fast they are dying. Of course leaning more in favor of how people are dying fast. (With several exceptions) people are dying now faster than in any other season. Unless you are building raid boss and are playing a raid boss tank (Mundo, voli etc) you just die too damn quick. I blame this on the itemization. There are just so many options for damage but the option for defense is lackluster.

The slow and gradual power creep of champions is well... just really obvious. %hp damage, true damage, mobility, range, PASSIVES. These things are ALL gradually becoming more prevalent, and they are starting to stack on each other. Most of these things an older champion has one, MAYBE two, but champions being released are just having more and more of these on one kit, ESPECIALLY PASSIVES. Every new champion and their mother has lazy designed passives thrown onto random abilities just to add artificial power to a champion, its just annoying really.

I think the game design in general now promotes team play the most. Just the fact that you can basically get whichever role you want allows people to all play something they want to/are good at. On some level this INCREASES the meaning of elo now. For example, a silver mid player last season might have gotten mid say oh 3/5 of the time? Maybe that's the only role hes really good at, and when he/she plays it they are at a plat skill level. But they would be playing at a bronze/silver level for other roles balancing themselves out. Now people can play what they really want all the time (within reason). This means that as a silver player, in general you are on some level playing with and against opponents at LAST SEASONS gold level just based off the fact that everyone is comfortable and happy getting what they wanted.

My point with all of this is that individual skill (and this is important, In my opinion) means much less this season than in any other season. I find it exponentially more difficult to carry a game this season. I tend to dick around a lot in games (I always try to win, I just mean I wont play the most optimal champion, or the most optimal role all the time) but when it came down to it and I said "ok I want to just WIN this game" I had an extremely heavy influence on the outcome of that game. I feel now at the mercy of my team (which is, and isn't a bad thing). I REALLY honestly believe games this season are more dictated simply on who was put on your team and the enemy team than ever before. Well, that's it, nothing else to say on the matter.

I hate self bumping but I want some feedback on what you guys think about the state of the game in terms of teamwork and carry potential.
