Where are the fighter itemization changes???

Why are you focusing on ap itemization when their itemization is the best in the game?

The only thing you've done for fighters is the new black cleaver

AP itemization is strong, but not diverse. There is a pretty defined set of "best" AP items that you have to get on pretty much every mage in pretty much every game, and that isn't really what itemization should be. There should be choices, and a lot of this is restructuring itemization so that items like Zhonya's and Luden's aren't just completely superior to other options. Fighters may need help, but that doesn't make mage itemization well-designed.

item 3089 item 3285 item 3157 item 3020 + 2 items of your choice (just because you need to fill those two empty slots).

Diversity is blooming...

Not sure I'd call that "two items of your choice", even.

AP itemisation is great in terms of what the different items offer but AP build diversity is pretty horrendous right now. Almost ADC bad.

Except none of those items give both tankiness and damage

Unless you count the pathetic 250 hp from trinity

actually that build is fine imo. i think devoting 2 slots to damage is perfectly okay on fighters. you can have offcarry fighters with like 3, 3.5 dps items.

no need to have 4 slots of .5 damage/.5 defense per slot since that equates to the same thing. less than 2 slots of damage and you tend to be less than optimal for your kit.

Why do they need them?

Why do they need them?

It's more than just items

It's kit changes, runes, masteries, etc

The only fighter right now that is any decent is Irelia because of an extremely abusive kit. A shit ton of tenacity, high base damages and can itemize one damage item and always kill squishies in solo situations.

Building 1-2 damage items into full tank feels lackluster for most fighters, certainly there are some this feels fantastic on (Nasus, Jax, Irelia) but there are others it feels trashy on. I'd much rather see items that give a mixture of offense and defense that give fighters a late game that feels satisfying to play as and be relevant as a damage dealer to all champions, not just a dive machine or meatshield. Outside of those two scenarios, the only other role a fighter functions in is a split pusher and all three feel lame to play as because games are often out of your control and when these styles of fighters are good, they feel lame to fight because they don't feel like fighters, they feel like mobile tanks diving you and killing you.

Like I said, it's a kit change needed for fighters, itemization changes (BC is a nice start) down to even runes and masteries. I wouldn't have a problem with this not happening yet if they literally didn't promise it to be done by season 3, then season 4, now here we are in season 5 seeing another class get an itemization overhaul over fighters when it wasn't really even needed (compared to what fighters have that is).

I'm not falcon but I'm sure his answer will be somewhere along the lines of mine because he's a lame Chicago Bulls fan and predictable like John Cena.

imo this would help fighters a lot: http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3a3pva/a_qol_crit_chance_ideachange/ if you don't mind reading it.

fighters have sub optimal crit options available to them, and not at values that can be relied upon. i just posted this ionic spark suggestion too http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/wNwBmnAd-bring-back-ionic-spark-another-thread-i-know-some-details-inside

would pair nicely with a new atmas if ever we'd get one.

a buff to rageblade here

it would be nice if they added a hatchet item to summoners rift with the same passive.

make it like hatchet + chain vest + avarice blade, for a ad + crit + armor item to fill the hole that the removal of atmas left behind. crit has only become an unreliable stat for fighters with the removal of atmas.

before, you could reach about 25% with atmas and triforce. except for infinity edge, there is sadly no item anymore, that adds cit without attack speed attached.

one could argue, that ghostblade could still fall into that category, since the as is put into the active and a burst available on demand. so even champions that usually dont want passive as increases for some reason could fit it more easily into their playstile.

but i think a hatchet item with defensive stats attached could generally make a good fighter item. especially sicne the hatchet passive doesnt require you to crit very often to be useful. theoretically if you crit once about every 3 seconds, it would be enough to keep the passive up.

so an ad carry wouldnt get much more out of it, just because he has higher crit chance. and if the passive had a base damage for the bleed + a low bonus ad scaling, the ad wouldnt make that much of a difference either.

Xypherous heavily implied that they were working on it but it's far more complicated than just solving the AP item issue

They've only been promising it since s2

Nothing is that complicated, just bias and poor prioritizing

Yeah I honestly don't think it's that complicated, but it is a lot larger than the AP one. At least 10 times larger. We might see it in pre S6 but I doubt it.
