So GP...

You nerfed him to the ground over and over and over because he had a strong laning phase, farmed well, had global presence, sustained in lane all day, and was generally just kind of hard to kill since he had high base stats and whatnot.

... yet then you release Yorick, who has all of that and the ability to build Triforce into full tank and still two shot people, solo objectives (baron and elder even), has slows and his wall, mixed damage (% health damage at that), and all that. He also has what, the second or third highest base health in the game, and high base MS and ridiculous base AD?

So uh, what's with the double standards?

You shouldn't come to these boards with any sentiment for GP, the people here hate him. He's a shadow himself when they released his rework and even now people still think he's OP where he has many bad match ups against more lane opponents. These days if you're being beat by a GP that's a testament to how good the GP player is working around all of his handicaps.

Nerfed in to the ground? Well that's quite the statement. Good luck with that. Yorick is fresh and new (Reworked). Dunno why the comparison, all new champs/reworked tend to be overpowered. It's nothing new. Eventually Yorick will be nerfed in to the ground as well. Riot likes to do that with champs.

Pick another melee into him, preferably a tank or a carry like Jax or Fiora. He's really good at harassing in lane then killing you and taking your tower at level 6 if he can get you down low enough. Otherwise, ask for ganks cuz he pushes like a maniac too.

That's pretty much how you deal with Yorick. And don't play super-squishy ranged characters into him since you'll get slowed into a wall into death.

I don't know what you are talking about, really. They are two way different champions.

-Gangplank has a cleanse, which is really strong, has a global ultimate which is also really strong, insane poke with the barrels, very high skill cap and mechanics, great waveclear, flexible buildpaths, outplay potential, true damage, some sort of mobility, AoE damage/zoning.

-Yorick has an autoattack reset, a mechanic that requires him to be set up to use (unreliable), a hard-to-land "crown control", which is also easily destroyed, no mobility, no real CC, and just has good splitpushing and 1v1 power, especially with his ult up.

How can you compare these two champions, when they are completely different? One is a teamfight god with global presence and the other is just some splitpush 1v1 juggernaut.

If you are having trouble when facing Yorick, then you need to work on a champion that counters him, like Gnar. Yorick doesn't have mobility, abuse it. Or just take something like Jax, Fiora, Irelia. They all crush Yorick.
