Vel'koz is just as bad (if not worse than) Zyra

Honestly it's stupid that he basically has no mana cost, no ability cooldowns and his abilities take up half the screen all because of the "muh skill shot" argument. To top if off he has true damage so building against him is basically pointless.

At least Zyra can run out of mana or her abilities can actually be dodged.

Little bit salty from losing to him because everytime I went in thinking he was oom (his mp bar was basically empty) and he still SOMEHOW had enough mana to use every ability on me constantly as if this was URF.

The stupid skillshot argument is one of the most infuriating things ever about this game. Just because a champ has skillshots doesn't mean they need everything to be busted

Zyra's root goes through minions. So does all of her damage actually. Vel'Koz's Q is harder to land than either of them if the opponent knows how to dodge and plays around minions (which stop the ability). Vel'Koz's knock-up is extremely easy to not get caught by in most cases. And the W does not do that much damage unless it is overlaid with other abilities and lands the second hit, which is easy to step off of if you did not get slowed or knocked up. The ultimate is scary if he gets ahead and/or if he lands enough abilities to activate True Damage. Much harder champion to play than Zyra and far less safe, despite the range. Also, his Q does refund some mana when it kills a unit but can easily run out, especially if he is support and cannot kill minions as freely. Just learn to dodge the Q and it is not that bad.

A Q that comes out seemingly every 3 seconds, takes up half the lane, and can be used for basically free? It doesn't matter how easy or hard something is to dodge (see pre rework nidalee) having an ability up all the time with gigantic hitboxes (or in nidalees case a broken one) is not a good design. Unlike say, Ziggs who can actually run out of mana it's not fine for him

Ziggs is harder to dodge and has basically no cooldown either. And how easy something is to dodge does matter. If something cannot land, it does not matter what it does.

Odd, considering most people consider Vel'koz to be one of the most, if not the most balanced champ in terms of simplicity, design and overall playstyle.

He has glaring flaws aswell as shinning strengths, everyone knows what he can do, what he cant and how to avoid his damage. If played like crap he is utter crap, if he's played well he can excel at being a monster.

He is IMHO the most balanced champ Riot has ever made.
