Hey HateDaddy, as our resident Nasus main, what are your thoughts on WorldBreaker Nasus?

Is he epic enough?

Yeah, he's part of a new skin line coming to the PBE.

Here's his splash. He shares it with Hecarim.

ya this has been my build actually

Heavy AP item 3111 item 3078 item 3065 item 3056 item 3156 item 3143

Heavy AD: item 3047 item 3078 item 3065 item 3056 item 3053 item 3143

And obviously a mixture of this vs more balanced teams

I'm really liking ohmwrecker right now.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

i would never switch out merc treads on nasus

BladeSteel3 votes

I would if the other team has no cc but slows XD. and not a lot of those. Also if all their cc is knockups, merc treads are worthless.

MunchCrunchLunch2 votes

well that team deserves to lose by default. no cc. lol

BladeSteel1 votes

Slows and knockups are cc, but either a) aren't important to nasus b/c he has a better slow (or buys item 3009 ) and b) knockups aren't effected by tenacity...

Mercs rarely make much of a difference. Your priority on Nasus should be to flank/clean up and zone control anyway. Not to mention the ability to outplay slillshots.

Shuriman Curator1 votes

I'll have to give that a go, lately after the patch i've been losing games, either i do well and the team falls behind or i'm not having a good match and still lose. Have you tried righteous glory on him? I've been taking in against team comps with fast escapes and it works well.

You're only NOW building Ohmwrecker?

I was building that crap for like 7 months until they randomly nerfed it, and triforce got changed so I could run 15% CDR level 1 still.

I was building IBG before the proc damage got nerfed, with CDR boots and SV because CDR boots only cost 800 gold earlier this season + the reduced Flash cooldown. Then they nerfed it and changed Trinity and I started building it and capping CDR pretty quickly and I realized ohmwrecker gives you an hP + armor + CDR route but the only downside is kindlegem CDR doesn't stack so you need to finish either SV or OW before.

But I'm especially attracted to it now because all my items save for maw give HP so the ability to stack more HP on Nasus with his resists from ult really ramps up his tankiness nicely.

The only reason I stopped building Ohmwrecker was due to the Zz'rot meta, and that Ohm got nerfed. After that, I was debating going back to Ohmwrecker but the trinity force CDR change happened, and since I love running 15% CDR lvl 1, and don't like wasting CDR, I don't usually build Ohmwrecker now :(.

I'd have to change my runepage style if I wanted to start building it again, which I am not comfortable with doing.

honestly I prefer scaling MR on him + scaling HP yellows. So I run armor quints to help with the early game. It gives me better trading power and honestly, starting 10-15% CDR early doesn't matter much if you can't Q anything. And even then, we're talking a difference of 50-100 stacks at the most with this and while that's a big deal early, as long as you're at 300 by 20 minutes with a sheen, you're a monster. I don't actually get super stacked that often because I brawl like a mother fucker once I get 150 + sheen.

I brawl so much at that point as well, but I usually average around 450-500 stacks at 20 mins due to the CDR runes. It also depends on matchup, but the runes are also good on ARAM (ye ye ik u dont giveva crap about that part).

Sure

I am not a fan of heavy CDR rune pages, I prefer a mixture of scaling + Flat runes to help me both with early game and mid game spikes. But there's nothing wrong with the CDR pages, I just prefer a beefier setup because I like to skirmish a lot on Nasus.

My standard rune page in most match ups is as follows:

Flat AD damage reds - makes last hitting quite a bit easier Scaling HP yellows Flat armor quints Scaling MR blues (they break even with flat MR around level 6-7 and with your passive + corruption potion, you can survive most lanes)

In lanes where I know I'm going to be under tower all game, I actually run lifesteal quints because in all probability, armor quints won't help much if I'm constantly pushed in. So the additional lifesteal is a nice boost.

Some people go balls out and run CDR quints but again, this doesn't fit my playstyle so I don't do it. Flirt around with things and see what you enjoy the most because runes are really going to depend on how you like to play.

For masteries I run 12/0/18 and pick up Grasp. I don't take stormraiders on him because it's win-more. If I'm in a position to do 30% of someone's max HP, chances they're dead no matter what. I can't stress this enough, nasus's problem isn't sticking to a target, it's getting there in the first place. And StormRaiders doesn't help you with that - unless you're a fucking man and go 1000 AP Nasus.

Big Lincoln1 votes

thanks, I liked to do a little bit of Grasp trading in lane vs certain lanes but the CDR pages made me feel less able to do it well

what should I do vs hard lanes? i'm having a lot of trouble vs ryze in particular

Start corruption potions, don't eat Qs and don't stay in the middle of your minion wave or his e + thunderbirds will give you a lot of trouble. Once you complete SV + mercs + Sheen, he's a walking +6

I don't consider new Ryze that hard of a lane

I run a mix of scaling health yellows and flat armor yellows, (or flat ap resist yellows) and either 2 armor quints or 2 mr quints. Depending on the match-up. I still get up to 10% starting CDR among the blues and the one quint.

I looked at your rune page and you probably shouldn't have the lifesteal quints in if you feel squishy. I think carnarius has 3 lifesteal quints in his pages, but I believe he runs armor reds.

Your "nasus ad page" is pretty similar to what I have. The rune pages I think are personal preference for a Nasus main. If you think you can dodge and sustain the lifesteal is good, but if you are concerned of an early death run a full tank page. I run 4 attack speed reds because there were some instances where I would have to farm under tower at level 1 or 2 because I will get zoned so hard.

I think the flat CDR early is better than the scaling CDR because the first 10 minutes is when you get the most time to farm.

You should go to naopgg and look up some of the nasus mains page and see what they run.

Quazadilic http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Quazadilic is probably the best Nasus main on the N/A who plays ranked regularly with him. Carnarius is probably the best in the world with the champion.

I am right now running item 3078 item 3111 item 3143 item 3110 item 3065 and my last item just depends on what is needed. Usually it is item 3102 item 3156 item 3053 item 3026 or item 3742

I think with preseason and some items prices changing I think he is going to be indirectly buffed as well.

I don't even miss the additional AD, the resistances keep me alive and that's really important. I can actually team fight now.

I did feel that, but the problem was a fed Cait, and the other game a fed Ezreal. I was also fed af with a typical tank Nasus (item 3025 item 3065 item 3009 item 3143 item 3026 item 3512 , stormraider's, 45% cdr), but they had so much ridiculous amounts of damage they could nearly 1v1 me. And yay those million traps CCing me for ages, activating nearly instantly. balanced.

AP's actually yeah are manageable but AD carries have way too much damage even against 400+ armor, it's stupid.

No they don't because they apply to bonus armor.

You're not going to be able to tank a 6 item ADC as anyone unless you're Malphite or Rammus

you guys are all nuts. this was a nerf to nasus. the offensive stats were better than these defensive stats. gl trying to duo baron EVER, gl trying to do dragon without it taking a whole minute, gl turning and fighting. this literally just turned nasus into a bitch

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

You can get infinite stacking on your Q, a horrific crippling movement & attack speed slow on your W which makes even Xin Zhao or Vayne crawling on their knees, an E which reduces everyone's armor in the circle, and an AoE Sunfire on your ult. At what point is there to even need anymore offensive stats such as the damage to AD in your ult?

Denims Wrath6661 votes

qss-useless nasus w e-does like nothing without rylais the offensive stats were there so you didn't have to build any damage on nasus- no he's just a tank without that power spike as a threat. that threat was a boost in ad, lifesteal essentially, pushing power. now that fighter feel for nasus is completely gone and it will all just come down to brass $ accumulated for nasus to be buff enough to fight. basically, this nerf took out the fun part of dueling. like revert it, this whole change besides the range. your point would still be solid, but my point has validity.

You never realistically got to use that damage in any meaningful way. If you were in the middle of a team, which is what you'd need to ramp up your AD, you'd be beating on the front line at best. Good job, you're hitting the enemy tank for 300 damage every 2 seconds. In that scenario, you're going to be out tanked with no true defensive steorid.

The bonus ad he received only mattered in fringe cases and his e shredding 40 flat armor is actually a big deal. You delete squishies with E/Q.

It has made his teamfight significantly better and I promise you his winrate will jump at least 2-3% when patch data comes out.
