Honestly I assume that's how riot figures out if a champ is balanced or not. by seeing the number of post on how OP a champ is compared to posts about how useless they are, since a post about how balanced a champ is are likely down voted to oblivion (if one such post even exists) :L

They probably only use forum posts as a moderate idea of what might be strong, while they primarily use their own statistics and pro player insight to do more balancing than the forums allow for.

Say what we might about the boards, we don't have as big an impact as we'd hope in terms of balance, nor have we ever. This is basically an echo chamber where we come to vent our frustrations, and then all we come to see when we arrive is that all we hear are the same complaints echoed by others so instead of anything useful coming up we hear a cacophony arising and smothering anything of more substance.

Ideas from the boards may be seen and heard, but they're luckily (let's be honest) unlikely to be heeded. Mostly because a lot of the people here can't even identify the troubling parts of a kit, and so when you have 3-4 parts of a kit being looked at through different perspectives all considered objective then it becomes very difficult to pull anything of value from that.

The boards are more useful to see who's annoying, rather than too strong. Even if Fizz was piss-weak he'd still be complained about (like Teemo before him) simply because he's annoying. Or, literally every assassin actually. Assassins are hated in general, but that doesn't mean they're unbalanced or unnecessary for the game - even if they feel unhealthy when you isolate them in a vacuum.

Veigar Imo is neither weak or OP. He's perfectly fine, and all it takes is to play zone. If they can't learn how to zone then it's their fault for losing to Vei, not the champ.

actually also the AP on assist, because if i gank successfully a lane i do not get punished it i don' t steal the kill, making the passive more reliable.

It is still better than a large number of ultimates.

Not that it really matters - we should talk about abilities in the context of champion kits and the state of the game (including the current meta) - but you re passing it off as a weak ability, which it most certainly is not.

I think Veigar is a perfectly balanced champion, much like Nasus, both have a weak early game but later on they become monsters. A good Veigar or Nasus can sometimes solo carry games, and a bad Veigar or Nasus will probably feed and be useless. I've been playing Veigar since I've started playing this game (pre-season 5), and I can safely say that I enjoy Veigar more now than ever.

Well, he has a consistently high winrate along with an average sized playerbase despite the past troubles of his rework.

I wish I could say the same about Cass. Now that's one rework that went terribly wrong.

Cass rework was actually a success she was picked competitively and had great success there, but then the meta shifted slightly and she couldn't handle it and fell out of favor for longer range poke like Varus. She was crazy strong when there were alot of tanks and damage was low.

Her statistics are objectively horrendous, it's beyond me why Riot still hasn't tried buffing her yet. It's almost as if she doesn't exist, they refuse to even talk about her.

Mentioning her is the equivalent to calling Voldemort's name here apparently.

I am very concerned when riot tries to buff champs like Cass, simply because of the Twin fang spam just feels so horrible being hit by especially with Rylais, especially the new rylais. I just have bad taste of her when she was in her prime, but I think she deserves more if her numbers are too low. But I just have a disdain for "Ryze like" champs.

Still, there should be room to perhaps revert 1 of her nerfs if she is under tuned.

Didn't like taking a Q at level 2 and being forced to back because she almost killed you with twin fang? Personally I would rather take a 90% hp nid spear to the face than get hit by a cass Q and get machine gunned to death.

My other problem with Cass is her power budget is literally ALL in the E. It has 3 passives, W does like 20 damage at MAX rank and Q also hits like paper mache and is used solely for speed boost and E spam. Her ult also doesn't make much sense in her kit tbh and is only there because she is a play on medusa. Atleast old Cass was an AoE based mage that could actually do something with their ult like idk.....Q them all while stunned and actually do damage to them.

Twing fang + Rylais? What about Gnar + Frozen mallet? ugh...

Horrible to get hit by? Try ADC auto attacks... darn those things hurt and they are usually rather hard to avoid (You can at least avoid Cassio poison and thus in effect avoiding her E)

Yeah... i miss the old Cassiopea. They rework her when so few people played with her and now even less people want to play her. I see Veigar following the same path in short time, sadly.

Why is it not a diminished value, since 5AP is pretty damn significant, with the downside being Veigar has to land the killing blow to get the 5 AP?

I'm all for adding Veigar gaining AP on assist, but I definitely do not agree with Veigar gaining the same value of AP as if he got the kill himself.

Except his W is also getting buffed a lot as well. I would like them to buff bases or something before his AP gain since this exact change will not fix anything about him. He will either A) be able to one shot any squishy on their team with the click of R sooner in the game or B) still be garbage when behind and not be able to do anything like before (idk if you've tried playing veigar and being stuck against a seige or be behind in vision due to being stuck in base but it is not a fun time since most of the time he will not be able to touch anyone squishy unless he is flanking/catching them out or they are an assassin and go to him like Ahri).

his E has a 0.75 delay with WARNINGS, and his W has 1.2 delay with warnings as well, the only thing they buffed about his W was making the delay start by the cast animation, the warning still lasts for 1.2 seconds. This just means that it'll only take 1.2 for his dark matter to fall when he presses W rather than 1.45 seconds.
