Title^

Just kick em' while they're down. After you shit on someone or pull off a 2v1 start by all chatting. Easily drops their morale and performance.

You dont have to say ban worthy shit... just like "wow. Even i thought you would kill me"

or

"LMAO wtf"

Fondling Gems1 votes

hey, 150% of 0 is still 0. So I am right ;P

im not mathmatologist, but sounds like you're on to something.

Fondling Gems1 votes

that mathmatology is pretty crazy stuff man. (pretty sure it is just a bunch of people spouting nonsense)

The real question is, once someone does report him, what happens? Does another person follow suit, but half-ass it? Does someone who's been bisected file the report? Does it round up, because it's 0.5, or are reports automatically floored or ceilinged? Does someone just flat-out exploit Riot's code to actually manage to send half of a report? Maybe they send a really weird packet that contains only half of a report's information.

#Yeah so I have been answering a bunch of threads on how the report system works and I just woke up so.... I realized that this comment was kinda random right after I finished typing it lol. Uhhh yeah... so you can just ignore the text wall if you wanna.

I would assume (don't think the official algorithms have been released for good reason) that reports both add and decay over time, coupled with a strike system.

Lets say the system keeps track of your last 10 games. If you earn a # of reports in those games, say 20 here, then you get a strike. This means that the occasional random report has no real affect on a player. However if you are consistently getting reported, or even just mass reported, you will quickly hit the report limit.

(Note that somewhere it is confirmed that the reports of people who spam report a lot don't count for as much)

Once you hit the report limit you are given a strike, and a punishment. Then your reports would effectively be removed. Every time you get X reports in Y number of games you get another strike, resulting in harsher punishments until you get a permaban.

*Disclaimer: Everything here is based on hints about how the LoL punishment system works and how I would logically go about programming it. The actual way it counts could be very different, but it serves the same general purpose in explanation.

You don't seem to realize that the system is really not automated at all. You get reported, the game get flagged, someone in charge of player behavior reviews the case. There is a thing that keeps track of the number of reports you're taken in a short period, but all it does is give you an in-client warning about that - it doesn't actually punish you at all.

Fondling Gems1 votes

Actually it DOES automatically punish players. Not sure how high the punishments go but the system is automated at least to the point of low priority queue and wait times.

Would you mind citing where you heard that it is entirely taken care of by Riot employees?

Last I heard (which admittedly was around the time the tribunal was removed) the system was almost completely automated except in certain situations such as support tickets.

Those automatic punishments have nothing to do with reports. If you get detected as AFK ( through no exp gain, I believe ) or disconnected for a certain amount of time, they do have a system in place that will put you in low priority or potentially stronger punishments for repeat offenses. This is why reporting for AFK is really kind of pointless, though it can still help in cases where a player is "cheating" by doing stuff to get themselves exp but still not doing anything of worth.

You can see stuff like this if you look at any Red or Blue posts in the boards section that's actually relevant to reports, i.e. player behavior.

Also, it can easily get you reported if you go too far.

Reports are nothing.

Trust me, my mains only been perma banned once.

Icestar11861 votes

That kind of says something about you as a person. And this strategy.

Teemodanegro1 votes

Really?

I think it says he's a comedian, since that was obviously a joke.

OBVIOUSLY you can only be PERMA BANNED 'ONCE'.

Get it? Get it?

A joke.

thank god.

Not exactly worth bragging about. It's like a serial killer saying in court "hey, I've only been arrested once for it so clearly I'm onto something". At the very least, it'll alert the authorities.

I just ward their corpse and flash mastery

Fondling Gems3 votes

I would ward, but as a support it hurts my soul to put wards in random locations.

Being toxic towards your team losses you games. Being toxic to the enemy team wins the game. ritos mottos: DONT BE TOXIC. Seems legit
