Why is this still allowed?

Why can a bronze or an unranked be allowed to, when playing solo, be put in a lobby against a platinum or higher without one of equal rank on their own team? Platinum and higher should never get queued against a bronze or unranked in general (unless premade), but in normals and rarely ranked queue, this is not the case always. I've seen a team of 3 silvers, an unranked and a bronze get matched against a few gold, and a diamond with 1 unranked. Needless to say the stacked team (the one with the diamond) won by a landslide. And the worst part is that this is fairly common, especially in normals, where one team is stacked. And while not always diamond+ players, plenty of plats get in games vs opposing teams who are vastly under skilled to face them.

If you are unranked, and solo you should face gold 5 at the highest, until your MMR says otherwise (for those of you who only play unranked games). League seems to try to accomplish this, but usually seems to fall short of expectations. If you are ranked, you should have a ranking gap of 2 ranks for potential opponents (ex: gold 3 can face any player from bronze 3 to diamond 3 or silver 4 can face any player from unranked to plat 4). Promenades should have equal opposing ranked players (ex: if you are a duo with one silver 5 and one gold 4, the enemy team should have one silver 5 and one gold 4).

One of the issues is that teams seem to be balanced around a MMR average, not each member individually. So as long as the average is close, each players individual talent is not taken into consideration as much as it needs to be. I find that most teams have that one "counter balance" player who is used to swing the average either by being significantly more or less skilled (or ranked) than the rest of their team. Ever have that game where a team of golds (5-3) and silvers (3-1) faces a team of silvers (5-3) with 1 plat (usually ranked 5-4)? I have a few times now, and on both sides. These games are not easy games for that silver plat team, sure that plat player usually does well, but the rest end up behind (even more so if that plat is the support and not on a carry).

I am not against premades or anything involving them being made of significantly different ranking players, such as a bronze and a plat. I do have an issue when they are not matched with equal skill (rank) on the opposing team, and when one player is used as "counter balance" for the MMR average to be close.

For the most part, but it also should apply to ranked (which it already does to an extent, but it isn't great).
