Can we just ask the honest question about Nidalee's blatant favoritism?

Nidalee has received a rework/overhaul/balance update MULTIPLE times per season, in EVERY season since LoL has launched. Including the pre-season 1 era. Trust me, I've been playing that long.

Now imagine if instead of blatantly favoring Nidalee the Riot team had declared early on "okay this kit is just toxic and will not work" and instead put those manhours and work in to a different champion. How many more champions could be viable and balanced now? Poppy? Galio? Darius? Brand? Aatrox? Shen? Miss Fortune? Urgot to be kidding me with how much time Riot has put in to a kit that will not work. At this point it feels like they're simply not willing to let go, that they feel they've put so much time in to the kit that they HAVE to make it work or all that time will be wasted. It is wasted. The kit is toxic. Stop trying to make Nidalee happen, it's not going to happen.

I agree with OP, they should leave Nidalee as she is right now, keave her completely alone, and work on GP or something

A few seasons ago she was balanced in fact she was on the underpowered side of the balance. A few seasons back she only had her spear, all of her abilities on cougar form would scale out of AD and would cost mana so she wasn't able to spam them. She would just throw spears all game, you would get a veil (the shield had a much smaller cd then) and she only would be a threat to the adc or ap mage on the bot which I would body cover with my tank. She was really annoying to lane against but as long as you positoned yourself behind minions she wouldn't be able to get ahead.

Now for some reason people complained that her spears were overpowered (her only damaging tool at the time) and riot reworked her on her current way which is far more hard to balance. In my opinion they could bring back the mana cost on her cougar form and that will somehow diminish her spamming abilities and think twice before charging in everytime she lands a spear but it will probably hurt her way too much.
