Why do people complain about Lee Sin when Jarvan IV is better in 99% of situations

At least outside of competitive play.

The only place where Lee Sin is top tier right now is in places like OGN and maybe extremely high Challenger MMR.

Everywhere else you'll have much better luck using Jarvan, he's way easier to use, gives a ton of auras for his team even if you mess everything up, is innately tankier, is way more useful late game, and is just more reliable period. Lee Sin hasn't been relevant late game since they removed his attack speed slow (because aoe 60% attack speed slow was broken late game).

Stop picking Lee Sin in solo queue, you most likely will lose with him since you can't use him well.

This Lee Sin circlejerk is so pathetic, he's not even good in where most Boards or LoL forums play in anyways. You can keep QQing about Lee Sin while Jarvan players will collect their freelo and probably remain unnerfed

I agree.

Lee isn't very good unless you're the 1% of players who's amazing with him. A mediocre jarvan will almost always have a bigger impact in soloqueue than a medicore lee. He's basically a pantheon that doesn't fall off after level 11.

Honestly if I had a choice between a diamond lee or a plat jarvan on my team, I'd probably pick the plat J4.

Jarvan has no natural sustain in a jungle that heavily favors it. I'm a fan of the J-man, but even a bad Lee player will dash circles around a good J4 player.

I do agree that he's better looking at a teamwide perspective.

Is that why Jarvan has a much higher win rate in all elos, even in Diamond and Challenger

Lee Sin is only good in competitive 5v5 where teams are coordinated.

Jarvan is so much more rewarding in most cases right now it's sad

Winrates are raw statistics that don't take into account a lot of factors that we judge champs individually by. It's safe to say that Lee works better in coordinated teams (which are hard to find at the bottom), but J4 has more tools to enable his comrades to succeed.

The same could be said for Rammus and Amumu, yet you are not comparing them. Why? Winrates are a poor indicator of what one actually has to experience in a game. Amumu is more likely to win a game against Lee, sure, but if you actually pick Amumu into Lee he will make your life hell. Same for J4.

Because people think that Lee is OP in every situation.

The main reason lee sin doesn't have a high winrate is instead of feeding his team, he takes all the kills himself, so once the other team understands that they only need to beat lee and then it's gg. Good lee sin players on the other hand are a real pain.

Lee is manaless and has built in sustain (Lifesteal, spell vamp, ally/self-shield, etc.). Jarvan requires mana and does not have built in sustain the way Lee does (One subpar self-shield).

Tell me again how Jarvan is "better".
