Some people like to pick first, some people like to pick last, for various reasons

There could be 2 small boxes next to the role selection that allow you to check weather you'd prefer to have first or last pick in champion select if possible.

Why not right?

Can we just weight supports more toward the bottom? A good support fills in the team comp... which you can't do when people aren't hovering and you're first freaking pick.

And maybe temporarily hotfix to have bans be the first three instead? :V It's stupid that the ones more likely to be countered are the ones who ALSO don't get a ban.

Honestly i think the opposite, support is one of the better picks to have early. Mid and top are too easily counter picked, and jungle can do a better job of filing in a team comp than support can in my opinion.

I think the ideal order is: 1 adc 2 support or mid 3 mid or support 4 jungle 5 top

I don't mind picking first/early at all when i'm mid as I'll play ahri in to any matchup, although it's preferable to avoid some so if i can pick her later it's nice.

Bot Lane, being 2v2 and largely auto attack focused, means that counter picks are near non-existent. I played as an adc main for 2 years and not once did i ever get worried about being counter picked (there were individual adcs i didn't want to see at times, but not because of who i was playing). Meanwhile I've never once gone top with my opponent not having picked and been un-afraid of a counter. Not that i can't play it (I'm capable of farming and not dying ) but laning phase becomes so boring and if your allies are playing poorly you can't apply pressure to help them. Likewise I've often been able to counterpick when i'm a late pick top and get a high pressure Lane out of it.

Idk - my view is once the support is satisfied that mid Lane is ap they shouldn't be playing a mage support, and so a tank is never a bad idea. I really hate ad mid players (mostly because they ALL seem to not hover, then pick Yasuo or zed in to an all ad team as last pick) so I'm probably biased in my assessment. I think adc should be a reliable source of physical damage, mid should reliably provide magic damage, and top/jg/sup should fill in with peel/tank/buffs/etc... as possible and some damage where appropriate.

As a support main. I like to be last. I am also a fairly flexable player champ wise.

It is suppper annoying when others don't hover thier champ... apprently because people might ban it if they don't like the pick :/.
