Do you still Build Spellthief for caster Sups?

with frost queens down should one still start spellthief? If so should you build it into frostfang? or skip the item entirely?

Here is how i see it as i am a support main. item 3301 for sustain for back line champs that aren't poke-y(?) or tanky. (Soraka, Zillean, Bard, etc.) item 3302 for tanky champs that can't poke or sustain well. (Leona, Braum, Thresh, Alistar, Taric, etc.) item 3303 for poke based champs that can't tank or sit around passively. (Zyra, Karma, Annie, Morgana, etc.) If you have any questions or other champs that you want to know which item to start with, reply to this comment and I'll answer ASAP. Hope this was helpful. :)

i was asking because frost queen was disabled so buying spellthief meant you couldnt get the 3rd form. I main support as well and use start items based on exactly the things you stated, wouldve been helpful if i didnt know though so thanks

Oh, then just play supports that don't use spell thief's edge Play tanky or sustain based supports for now until its fixed.

it's still a nice gold generation item. I tend to upgrade it to frostfang then late game when I need the slot, I sell off Frostfang. Not too big on the stats Frost Queen gives gives or the active.

That said, last I did frostfang (two days ago?) it was bugged and only gave 5g on pokes.
