Correction:

A large group of mains who constantly circlejerk over their class said that champion was balanced.

I'll stop beating around the bush. Mage mains said ori was balanced, most sane people have realized she's been busted for the last few months. And mage mains say this because mage mains think their 1000k+ ranged throw a skill shot out with no repercussions whether hit or miss "feel the fairest" over other classes.

So in short, no, "we" did not say Ori was balanced. "They" said ori was balanced. We =/= They.

But if a midlaner says she's not OP then I'd take that word, because that guy/gal has to lane against her.

The biggest difficulty I have with Orianna is knowing her ranges. There's a point where the ball just sits there, and there's a point where she can move it and really deal some damage, but I don't play against her often enough to have a good feel for what those ranges are.

Does that mean she's OP? No, of course not, I just need to play against her more.

And just because i'm defending ori doesn't mean i play her. It's very difficult to be able to tell if ori's ball can move in range of you because you have to keep track of both her and the ball. It's a lot of hidden info that ori presents to a lane that should somehow be telegraphed to the opposing laner. Problem is that i have no idea how riot can present some of that hidden info without making the ori player like they can't do anything.

info is the problem because if he knew that she could QW him he could adjust accordingly by moving away from the ball to the right and stick to that side.
chunking someone using 2 abilities for 20% hp every 8s is not a problem at all lmao. You underestimate other mid champions' harass patterns.

The ball is on the lower midside? I position myself on the upper one. The ball is on the upper midside? I position myself on the lower one. Move in and out of her range to CS. She has to use the QW on minions to CS as well, so where's the problem? I know, the problem lies in people that give her poke and CS at the same time because they stand in the middle of the wave.

Don't worry, I can CS nearly perfectly under tower. At least it's on the same level as my csing in the middle of the lane. It's not even that hard.

On top of that: For free? She's overextended and free to gank. That's not free, that's her pushing herself into an idiotic spot to be in.

i know how she works, i play her casually and i deal with her a decent amount. You don't need to play a champion 24/7 to know how they work, specially when they haven't received any significant changes in a long time. You can keep spewing all you want. There is a difference between overextending and pushing lane. If you cannot comprehend that or know the difference between both you are once again nothing more than a salty player who has ZERO idea how to deal with her and ZERO idea how to set up ganks. i still don't understand what's overpowered with ori? i wanted to argue about ori doing the same thing mages do but if you're going to tell me that the entire mage class is broken, by all mean keep going.

Yes i'm an ori main, no Ori does not throw a 1000k range spell, her Q has 800 range it deals as much damage as a lux viktor or insert any mage here, and what's more her Q doesn't reach the spot instantly unless she's in melee range

I would agree with you that her ult cd at rank 3 is hilarious compared to other mages, and that her shielding duration is also too much (4 sec with 9 sec cd) but you just circlejerk and then call the entire mage class broken

You're using the context of "We" and "They" as one as if the community is large enough that people will think as one group.

When you have a small group of people making threads daily, it's only fair that people will come around that disagree with them.

When a community gets larger the odds of finding more people whom think like you or have the same ideas are greater.

Not inaccurate however I almost always try to speak from a point of view that attempts to eliminate bias. I realize there's always some bias, but I'm far more open-minded than most. I can't allow the reverse truth of my current complaint to discourage me from making my point because it doesn't make it any less true.

Other squishies have their own tools to deal with her. Oftentimes it is in the form of more reliable cc, some defensive advantage (shield or damage reduction), or their own kill threat at close range (or some combination of those).

Xerath's method of survival is to abuse his range and eventually poke her down to the point where you'd win even in close range (or try to push in the waves and perhaps be more helpful in the mid/late game).

Remember when mage mana costs used to actually matter? Mages really had to choose when to use their abilities back th- oh wait that's NEVER been the case. There is SO much mana/ mana regen in items that the one thing that should be gating mages DOESN'T.
