What's the counterplay to Blitz now?

Right now I pick Taric to counter Blitz because as soon as I or my partner get pulled I can hit ult and all of my abilities to keep us alive (Plus, Guardian triggers if you press W on an ally that's about to get hurt). But now that Blitz can destroy all shields on a short ult cool down, I don't think Taric will be good anymore against him. Who is the next best champion at countering him. Yes I know there is Morgana but she is not fun for me. Especially when my ult forces me to walk into the middle of the enemy team, zhyonas and then get one shot as soon as it ends. So other than her who is the next best at countering blitz?

Well besides dodging the skillshot period, champions that punish the blitzcrank for pulling them in like Braum and Alistar.

Isn't Taric's ult not a shield?

It’s not a shield but you make teammates invincible so it’s another tool to help peel for allies, the problem is you usually get bursted down before the ult activates, that’s where the shields come in, they give enough time for the ult to kick in and turn the fight.

I prefer to focus on dodging the skillshot and picking a champ that can poke the crap out of him. Blitz is so squishy early so if you can dodge grabs for a few levels he's going to be in a bad spot.

I always just take Morgana so Idk. Maybe Yuumi since he can't really hook her and you can always pop off ult if he hooks the ally adc? Or maybe Rakan, since you can jump away. Fuck, just be offmeta and go support MF and just constantly run around since her movement speed is fast. Lulu works too, for her polymorph, you can poly the enemy adc so no dmg is taken if your adc is a dip shit and gets hooked. Karma's shield/movement speed works well to dodge.
