How do you rate the 4 ADC zeal (crit) items?

The 4 items I'm referring to are: item 3085 item 3046 item 3087 item 3094

They all give 30% crit chance. They all give a minimum of 30% attack speed and 5% movement speed, and cost a minimum of 2600gold. The additional effects are listed below (e.g. +10% attack speed means 30%+10% = 40%): item 3085 : +10% attack speed, +2% movement speed, fires 2 additional quarter damage bolts that can crit, 15 damage on-hit

item 3046 : +15% attack speed, +7% movement speed when chasing a nearby enemy (and move through units), 12% damage reduction from last enemy hit. Cost +200gold.

item 3087 : +5% attack speed, energized attacks deal 30-100 magic damage to up to 5 targets and can crit (bonus damage to minions).

item 3094 : +2% movement speed, energized attacks add range (up to 150) and deal 50-200 magic damage on hit.

In general, it seems item 3094 is by far the most popular and the best item by player consensus. I like it too, the extra range is hugely helpful, especially when trying to siege or in other scenarios where poking is desirable. That said, item 3085 gives completely better stats and yet is often considered a poor item. I understand passives can make a huge difference, but item 3085 actually has a pretty sweet passive for teamfighting in a game where the meta has been teamfighting for as long as I can remember.

Also in general, item 3046 is often considered to be the weakest option. It costs 200g more so perhaps that's why? Otherwise when compared to item 3087 it gives better stats. Again, passives matter. item 3087 passive only really seems hugely helpful for waveclear though, you'd be better off with item 3094 for poke. item 3046 passive sounds amazing for dueling, for survivability in a teamfight, and for cleaning up afterwards!

So basically, I think I get the player consensus on the order... it's item 3094 >item 3087 >item 3085 >item 3046 But is that accurate? Stats-wise it just seems weird to me. The passives make sense I guess, but are they worth that much?

it is acurate-and it is easy to understand why. Currently, the meta is very damage focused with alot burst. Dealing your damage to opponents befor they can strike back is a huge advantage, and due to the bursty meta, many fights end already a few sec after they started. Aditionally, takeing towers always was winning you the game, while jungle objectives, especially dragon, aren't as imprtant atm. Aditionally, the game pace is rather fast, most games get decided rather early.

item 3094 Gives all you want atm, a range advantage+mobillity so you can deal damage without reciving it, it adds burst, it gives mixed damage which is valuable early-mid, it offers better damage vs towers. Going by how explosive fights are, the lower dps it gives desn't matter alot. item 3087 RFC's little brother, gives good burst but on aoe rather than increased range and helps to push lanes instead of dealing more damage to towers. It's good for the same reasons as RFC, but the aditional range and higher damageproc early on, as well as the better pokeing vs towers are just more usefull than the waveclear and aoe. item 3085 Strong for sustained damage aoe, but not to strong early on as the aoe scales with crit. Constant damage is currently just not as desireable as poke/burst, and more power early on(flat damage procs) is better than good scaleing(more as, critscaleing aoe) item 3046 IS mostly an scaleing and dueling item. ADC rarly duel in this meta, it doesn't add much early on without other items to back up the as+crit, and it's more expensive while not helping at all at pushing, killing towers, bursting or pokeing. The high dps it gives doesn't matter alot these days. Also, the bonus ms+ghostwalk isn't as strong as it reads, as it only has a 500range, and most adc have 550+ range, so if you attack at max range, which u usually try to do, you don't get any aditional ms from it.

If we would have a tanky meta with drawnout fights, the order would be inverted and especially hurricane would be king.

depends on which champion. but for the most part. hurricane>rpf>shyv>pd. hurricane is just too good for wave clear and in team fights. and its a tad cheaper.

Rapid fire's passive is much better mid game than hurricane (unless you're jinx or cait), and PD is better than shiv.

Shiv is fucking garbage because it's supposed to be a mid game item, yet isn't even good until you get like 70% crit.

Truthfully it depends on what ADC you're playing and what you're trying to do. If you are looking to hit as many targete at once with big dot (like Kalista or Twitch), Hurricane is the answer. Need more wave clear (Varus, Quinn, Vayne), go Shiv. Need a little extra range (Lucian, Vayne, Draven), go RFC. Looking to split push (lol said no ADC ever), Phantom Dancer. PD itself is not weak, it's just so dependent on dueling imo and ADCs really aren't looking to duel.
