Analysis of the 0/7/0, M7 Yasuo trend
Putting aside any Yasuo hate for now, I want to talk about how much it sucks that the running joke is that every ally Yasuo is guaranteed to feed and every enemy Yasuo is guaranteed to carry.
And this can be attributed to several aspects that people gold/low plat and below seemingly don't understand about Yasuo.
##**First, he isn't a fighter if you don't build like one. ** All too often, they'll rush Phantom Dancer and expect what is essentially 15 armor that doesn't work against poke to give them the defense to act like a sustain fighter. And then they'll continue to believe that while building into Infinity Edge second and continuing to lose fights, under the impression that any amount of feeding will be negated by Yasuo's incredible two-item spike. Which they may never even get to.
You may look at Tryndamere and think, well he's a fighter who builds crit first. But the important difference is that Tryndamere can become unkillable-- giving him all the strength of the crit items along with all the durability he could ask for as a fighter. Yasuo just plain doesn't have that. So you need to play him like you aren't buying health items, because until your Sterak's, you aren't.
##Second, his early dueling is rather weak. And this switch people have done from Statikk Shiv to Phantom Dancer doesn't help. It's the reverse of the previous problem. If you aren't building the item with extra damage, then you can't play as if you have that extra damage. Taking the rune designed for champions who have such a strong early game as to render its weakness a moot point also doesn't help, because if you're going to be attempting early fights you need a keystone that'll actually grant damage.
While it's still not the best idea to be trying for early fights in top lane, where many of the champions counter Yasuo and have nothing for his W to even block, if you are the type who wants to, you need to actually bring damage to the fight.
##And lastly, as a mobile assassin with the most powerful anti-projectile ability in the game, he's far better suited against mid (or bot) lane opponents. Many of Yasuo's counters are top laners, and rightfully so. His mobility and W are strongest against enemies with projectiles, so enemies without them have little issue with him. Mid laners also have much more trouble fitting Randuin's Omen into their build than anyone at top.
But they play him as if he's super strong from the very start, and are punished for it.

also give him fits. I have a replay parrying his Steel Tempest on
to be just awful as a first build item on toplane
. I usually go
