No one is building Twin Shadows.

Like i said before, no one is gonna build it.

Before when FQC had the active, it was a compelling option because it was tied to an item that you were obligated to get, your support income item.

Now that it is its own item, there is little to no reason to pick it up when i could buy another itwm that stacks with Forbidden Idol items, Unholy Grail, aegis, or even a staight AP item like Deathcap. At best i could see a discount midlaner pick it up but even they seem uninterested atm.

I still insist that the support item changes wefe the wrong way to do it, and that the removal of quest buffs was a terrible move for the actual compulsion toward the roll.

EDIT: judging by the disparity between the comments and the votes, im guessing the downvoters are just slapping the vote without reading the posts at all.

Id prefer if you actually left a comment please and thank you.

twin shadows was never a popular item even before it was removed

Obligatory sarcasm note because nobody on this board gets a joke

Yeah, no mana regen and the ghosts aren't that great...the thing is a pain.

What if it were made a very cheap item by cutting back the stats that are inflating its buy price? It could be a way for champions who would like some soft CC or a proximity check early (vulnerable early game junglers and certain supports come to mind) to use the effect while it's most useful. Give it a good sell value like Dark Seal has and like that item, you take it anticipating the best but don't feel bad selling it off if things go badly.

That's not a surprise. They really just added it because of people QQing that its gone. It's literally the same old items from a few years ago that got removed because nobody used it anyway.

I actually used it once on Soraka against Twitch jungle because I remembered the effect to be usefull against stealth/camouflage champions that are trying to flank...but it no longer works against them. That was really the only unique advantage that the item had imo. I can't even remember when they changed that. Now it only locks on to champions that are not stealthed when you activate it. It should at least reveal camouflage.

I've seen Morgana twice since the update and both of them built it.

Funny thing is that the only thing that I actually like about the item is the name itself.

.

But honestly, I agree with you. I just don't find it all that useful, why build an item that slows by 40% for 2 - 5 (based on distance traveled) seconds when there are simply better items that grant a similar use without any cooldown? Items like... item 3022 item 3116

.

Yeah you can potentially find some good uses for it but it's just not worth it in my opinion, it would be nice if Riot just completely changed the item but kept the name the same, like they did for item 3050.

I always liked the item on nami and morg for hitting bubble/binding easier

item 3905 combined with Glacial Augment Inspiration capstone for the 5 seconds 60% slow area is fuuuuuun if used well.

I've seen it a little bit, so I wouldn't say NO ONE is building it. It's just returned to the niche item it originally was. Twin Shadows wasn't a highly built item in the past, people only got the FQC because it was an upgrade to the support item which gave gold gen as well as AP, a slow, ect.

Pokemonred2003/1/2018, 7:31:49 PM1 votes

I build it as a catching tool on junglers, or if I go Glacial Augment on supports. Riot nerfed its AP from 80 AP on 60 AP because apparently they thought that it matching the major AP items was gonna make it a dominant pick (when It wouldn't have)

I agree that it doesn't seem as a viable option for supports... I find it quite nice for some movespeed-based mid laners though (Annie, Ahri, Ekko, Aurelion... paired with Spellbinder and Celerity).
