Does zilean have to stand still while channeling his passive?
It's so annoying to get auto attacked once, have to wait to use it again and probably miss the chance because they killed enough minions to level up. Its a nice QOL change

A more annoying problem is the fact that the prompt to level someone up often takes too long to show up. sometimes I'll be waiting around someone for 5 seconds before the little yellow arrow pops up and I can actually do it.
its because you have to have the amount of exp they need. i thought it prompt'd you when youre close
I do have enough XP for them, but it doesn't let you click on them to start channeling until this little yellow line/arrow connects you with them, unless I am mistaken how it works.
As you channel it, you need to stand still, yes. If you move it will cancel it.
No i mean does he have to have it canceled if he moves? its very annoying.
Why shouldn't it? Almost every other channel in the game requires you to stand still.
Because it puts you in danger and it is incredibly annoying to deal with. its a QOL change. Not necessary but it would be nice.
No one said you're suppose to use it while in giant teamfights. You can just use it at first click, as there is no "Tether range" to transfer EXP over to your teammate while he walks further away.
you just gave me cancer. thanks. I seriously have cancer. Have you played against a thresh once? Have fun standing still for a 3 second channel. they totally won't abuse that window. Flash hooks do exist.
Zilean is actually one of my main champions I play. I'm sorry man, but the only thing wrong with his passive is how it sometimes won't activate on someone ready to level up.
This isn't a QoL change. Sometimes I realize the person I coicked on is about to level up already from one more minion kill and I'd rather save it. With youe idea, there is no way to cancel it. Or what I accidentally click someone else instead of who I intended to click? That feels bad too being unable to cancel it.
Having it so you have to stand still is not only consistent gameplay with other channels, but also gives me the option to cancel it if need be.
cancel it with a stop command. I have never clicked on the wrong person in all my games as zilean. Maybe the ability description should tell you? something like "Use the stop command key (default S) to cancel the channel"
Which still leaves it as inconsistent from all other channels besides vlad E. That's not exactly good design imo.
I think its perfectly fine.
We are allowed to disagree :P
yep
Well shit, I guess no one has the option to do the Zilean passive after recalling/while walking to lane/doing it in bush/hide near minions etc.
But yes, be that one idiot & do it in an open space right infront of a Thresh ONLY. That's smart. I bet you didn't even buy a Sightstone.
I did buy a sightstone. I was in lane, behind minions. He flash hooked and killed me.
if moving didn't stop the channel it how would you cancel it when the skill is accidentally used
stop command? Usually you want to use it on your ADC and stop for a second, then get thresh hooked and die. flash thresh hooks OP
the stop command would be a sufficient answer if this was dota and using the stop command to cancel a cast animation was a common thing.
Maybe the ability description should tell you? something like "Use the stop command key (default S) to cancel the channel"
could work but im not really a fan of making the skill and tooltip more complicated for something minor.
Its not really all that complicated.
understands what a channel is
asks why he needs to stand still to do it
Its a QOL change. It's frustrating to deal with.
No, that is very much NOT a QOL change.
If he no longer had to stand still, that is a straight up buff.

All channels require you to stand still what are you smoking
Yes, yes he does.
