Getting autofilled ADC is the worst

ADC is not an easy role to play. I would prefer it if we could have Fill + role not to play.

I am sure a lot of people don't mind supporting, at least in Gold+

It isn't an easy role to play/fill so I get that completely. Its depressingly difficult lately and, honestly, not all that fun. It hasn't been the same since 8.11...

As someone else said, however, if you're more comfortable on a mage, you could play someone like Veigar or Swain bot with okay success; they're slightly less level dependent than some other mages(Veigar because of his passive and Swain because he has decent utility). I would just request the rest of your team to please pick some AD, preferably ranged, somewhere else. Like maybe a Graves or Kindred jungle or a Tristana mid.

I always pick Veigar when I have to go bot, with surprising success. I never realized that it's a viable pick!

I almost never get ADC when I que for fill but if you really want to avoid playing ad you can ask in champ select or put down a primary role. I think in Gold+ elo you should have one or two lanes you're good at.

The best thing to do bot lane is this

If you play mages just play them botlane it can work. If you play melee champs such as tanks or brusiers buy a item 3302 and ask your support to play something with good poke because it may take away some abuse they may give you and probably ban Caitlyn or Draven if you are both melee it may be doomed.

Now are these ever the BEST things to play bot? No. But it at least allows you to play something you are comfortable with and will at least increase your chances of winning compared to playing an AD carry you have zero clue how to play.

Or just play Ashe, theirs a reason she is the first champion you play, even if your trash she provides obvious utility and CC. Even a monkey can kite with her, and her mechanics are more similar to juggernauts than ADC's for some reason.

Ashe actually isnt a great pick yeah shes simple but shes stupid immobile if you dont play adc positioning like one is not gonna be a strong suit a person who doesnt know how to play adc will 99% of time feed on an ADC
