He has a 100% pick/ban rate pretty much everywhere, from Bronze up to fucking Worlds, and it's easy to see why. In his current state, he's objectively unbeatable unless the person playing him is completely braindead. Aside from having a blink and being resourceless, he can do everything a champ in League can do. He has true damage, high magic damage, high physical damage, burst, sustained, aoe, single-target, both ranged and melee, a powerful self-MS boost, a passive gold-gain mechanic, the ability to spellblade crit an entire lane while ignoring 50% armor and applying a slow, the largest self-heal in the game that also cleanses for some fucking reason , and a global ult that not only upgrades thru level like other ults, but can also buy upgrades in the shop making scale stupidly hard.

He bullies lane against anyone who isn't ranged, and then scales up into infinity. There's no point in the game where he's weak, there's no part of the game he isn't incredibly strong at. He dominates laning, objective control, sieging, counter-sieging, teamfighting, dueling, splitpushing, he's insanely powerful at everything. How can this champ still be allowed to exist?

If you think gp is a bully in lane, your stupid, a champ like daruis or riven or hell , most top laners shit on gp. He is very very weak early and if you dont wanna stop him early hes gonna punish you later. just like anyother great late game scaling champ. Lb, daruis, vik, kass, ori, All champs can do as much as gp if not better.

Right to the insults, nice. And no, no laner shits on GP because if they have any kind of advantage, he can simply hang back and farm with his Q. You cannot punish or bully him early due to how safe he is, but he can bully early due to great harass from his Q and passive.

Frankly, they need to hit his mana costs.

It's either that or nerf barrels again (I'd suggest deleting the movespeed they give him)

......you're just talking dumb. What blink you're talking about? Like Kassadin's ult? Katarina's E? Where the hell does GP get those?

And his QWR still costs mana, so don't talk blant crap like that. He still burns down mana steadily to grab dem Q golds & burns more mana for sustain with his W, so don't bull around about him being "resourceless".

Except the ones that were crossed, you can see that **the rest of his kit were the exact same from his old kit, and he was considered "a bad & troll pick who desperately needs reworks." **

His barrels early game isn't really that terrifying, as a guy with powerful reflex, he can disable the barrels at early levels before GP shoots them as a melee champion. Even with the "E near me, then I'll chained the next barrel in your face" strategy, one can simply fake an advance to make him waste barrels when he thought you were in range of being bursted by his barrels.

I said "aside from" as in those are the only things he doesn't have.

His magic damage and aoe both used to be much lower. The reason he was considered bad was because his old ult just outright did nothing and morale's active was weak.

Early game the barrels are weak yes. But late game when he deletes everyone but your frontline with a single E-Q, that's an issue.

His early game really IS too strong for his hyperscaling and strong global and massive teamfight presence. Very few champions reliably beat him in lane, at least in a teleport meta.

Early game his passive maybe slightly too strong if the GP player is used to reseting it in trades. I also think his ult does slightly too much damage in teamfights.

bullies lane? idk what gangplanks youve been playing against but his early game is pretty damn terrible.

where gangplank is considered op is because his barrels simply do too much damage. there is no other reason. his kit is well rounded and offers a lot but thats fine. the numbers on his barrels just are oppressive. 40% armor shred and aoe crit is not a good combo.

riot is most definitely going to keep nerfing the barrel damage like they have been.

nothing else about his kit is bad though. his Q does shitty damage early and if he harasses you with it, then he can't use it to farm. he simply farms up until trinity and then he can start fighting. he puts two barrels down and instantly clears waves. he's great. but what is cancer is that damage. he feels exactly the same as old gangplank who was gimmicky until you get hit by a barrel and then its "holy shit where did my HP go"
