Can Xerath carry low elo if you're good enough with him?

Or is he too team reliant? Last I looked, for some reason, his winrate was actually very slightly higher on average in lower elo, which is very odd.

I'm sure if you looked, most champions with a solid late game and lots of waveclear have a higher winrate at lower elos because players at that level don't know how to use leads to close out games.

All immobile squishies are pretty damn team dependent. I would think Xerath would be no different. You can carry with pretty much any champ though, if you're good with them that is.

Now I am bronze (2-4, varies), so take this at face value. I consider myself a good xerath player (for my elo), in that I can land most of my skills atleast 60% or more of the time. About 85% of the time, I land all 3 charges of my ultimate. (On the occasion I will miss all 3, but this is very rare. I would say maybe 3%). I usually get complemented by at least 1 person when I play Xerath, the ask if I have a ton of time with him or if I am a smurf. (I get asked then on xerath by far more than other champs.

I am also quite good with his stun, I see far to many people throwing it out whenever they have it up. Save it until you KNOW it will hit, or your getting ganked! I don't really like to use my W unless I land a stun, I only use it when I can for sure get the slow off (ganks, or people trying to walk through their minions to avoid me E). I also rarely see people in my matches that use the slow from W for a free E hit.

VERY often when I play xerath, I end up getting first blood at level 3-4 with a flash E W Q ignite. (assuming you land a few early Q's). Then when their jungler ganks, I can usually get another kill on one of them with the above combo (excluding flash). In my elo, when someone is ganking, they run straight at you tho. So its a free E W Q.

But I must include that for me, Xerath feels very natural. I can not play him for weeks, and I can usually do at least average in my first game back. Then game 2+ I will look like I play him often. I usually get somewhat fed in lane, then I just say I am gonna roam to drag~ and I CC botlane, and boom you have 3 free ulti's. It is almost a guaranteed kill/assist. I find that even when the enemies ping MIA mid, that no one respects the threat of xeraths ultimate range, and damage to.

From this point on, I just push hard mid, ward up (THIS IS KEY) and I just 1 shot the minions and roam. He can clear a mid wave and be ganking bot before you knew he was gone. Also sometimes you just mind game them and hide in fog, and they will freak out spamming MIA pings. Then pop back out mid. I find it works comparable to the boy who cried wolf. (I JUST REALIZED THAT COULD BE A PUN ON MY NAME LOL, WAS NOT INTENTIONAL!) I have been wanting to climb elo. Why the hell do I not play xerath in ranked. Beo pls.

Highly doubt you can climb very high with Xerath only. Hes a pretty good lane bully. But to carry games, will be doubtful and hard. Way to team dependent.

Ahri, Fizz, and Zed could be a problem for you.

My fear for you would be how popular those champions are in solo queue. They counter Xerath a bit, and can carry slightly better because they're high mobility assassins that do very well in this meta.

I would keep practicing with him because he is very strong when in the right hands. However you should consider picking a backup champion for when the conditions are not right to choose him.

every champion can carry every elo with the exact same success. its about how you are playing, not about your champion.

Xerath is really skillshot depended so it's all depend how good you are with them. One note however is that higher elo players tend to play a little bit more towards to give the enemy less reaction time to dodge their skillshot. In low elo your skillshots are almost magnetic or you miss them every time when you try to aim them how a player is attempt to dodge it.
