Remember how People Said Ahri was Completely Gutted with the post-DFG changes?

Then people started actually playing her and Riot ended up having to nerf her 57% win ratio.

I get the feeling that the Morde and Veigar changes may see something similar once people actually start playing them.

I play a morde often enough and I can tell you pretty confidently current changes don't do much for him, his problem has always been that's he unable to keep up with carries (way too easily kited in some cases they simply walk away from you...). In a team fight if he can't insta burst someone with his combo and get a ghost it's pretty bad for him without dfg u r full combo doesn't reliably get u a ghost which weakens him significantly. The new changes don't address either of the issues with him, unreliable ult and people just walking away from him. if his W gave him flat 60 movespeed (maybe too op, idk) it might have helped but right now the W movespeed is only when walking towards an ally u used it. Also in a pure 1v1 morde is actually nerfed less dmg on W.

I play a lot of Veigar. I faced off with my friend that mains Vel'koz on the PBE servers. Now, we've done this matchup on the live servers before, several times actually. Normally I trounce him. With the Veigar changes though, I ended up with 1487 AP, 5k more gold, and still couldn't kill him.

I suspect this will be much more like the Azir nerfs.

Can't speak to the Mord changes though since I've played him maybe twice ever on ARAM and once when I joined the game three years ago.

Alot is riding on his reworked Q... people has already ruled out veigar's dark matter drop buffs as null and void as its totally unlandable without using his now-butchered stun also ult damage nerfs.. -cringe-
