I have an absolutely stupid idea for changing Ohm Wrecker :D

What if, rather than shutting down towers, Ohmwrecker caused enemy towers to temporarily act like your own towers and attack enemies? It's going to be like an Azir passive for 2.5 seconds, which isn't enough to cause all that much damage, but it could zone out enemies long enough to actually take the tower.

Make it work on fountain turret and you have a deal.

junglerboy161 votes

Oh the inhumanity! Teemo would be proud of your evil thoughts...

Blue Moon Wolf2 votes

plant Teemo shroom behind turret, use item 3056 on turret, >:D

JadeKnightblazer17 votes

I like it...

I would take Heimerdinger with item 3060 item 3056 and the [Void Portal Item], Bwhahahahahaha.

Toru Itai14 votes

-walk into lane that is tower hugging->uses it-> walks away

Narasimha13 votes

Junglers would love it far too much.

ImHerVoice1 votes

no i wouldn't I'd never build that sack of shit even if you paid me.

Rikari12 votes

Well, for one thing i would just see Nocturne and Malphite looming outside my tower no longer, instead just going all in and watching me panic-flash-heal-ult-gapclose-ward-mash buttons 1-7-blame support.

Arveanor3 votes

upvote for the hyphen-word-blob.

Sachabot1 votes

Upvote for mentioning Malphite, and reminding me why I play him.

10/10 was stupid

Seriously, though, it's ideas like this that make me wish there was some kind of Customs sandbox. How cool would it be to make your own retarded items and game modes and then play them with friends?

The5lacker9 votes

So enemies use their tower for defense (like they should) and get punished?

Yeah no, there's a reason Azir requires towers to be DEAD first.

GundayMonday8 votes

That's kind of cool actually.

Slushi Simcambi6 votes

Its bad in the best way.

Like adding the Base Jumper in TF2.

A hilarious, almost constructive bad.

Arveanor3 votes

Really, if it had a brief warm-up time, so that people knew to back away from it, rather than just start taking immediate damage while standing under their own tower, this might just work, lol.

Hyrum Graff3 votes

No it wouldn't. Teams who are ahead are already able to tower dive inhib turrets. Now imagine if they also get the turret on their side. Teams would snowball out of control, and stalling a seige would no longer be possible.

Desmond Law3 votes

Not like towers do damage anyways

DrCyanide3 votes

"Why are you tower diving me? I'm full health, you're not!"

*activates Ohm Wrecker*

"I'm not tower diving you. You're tower diving me!"

Jungle Lux God3 votes

Your towers are belong to us.

Jamnon2 votes

The thing about that item is it isnt satisfying game play. Yes its powerful and interesting, but its a lot more fun to make your own character feel more powerful instead. Which is why it will rarely get picked over anything else.

Rikari2 votes

We would also then get turret dived by 2 turrets Heimerdinger

SelflessTeammate2 votes

I'm not thinking too hard about it at two in the morning, but maybe if it simply reflected one, single shot, back at the nearest enemy champ, that would make it more worthwhile. For instance, if you turret-dive, it would surprise an enemy champ not expecting it. You'd have to run afterward and maybe even take a hit from the same turret before you could get away, but that's a decent enough trade-off.

Alternately, while it goes against the title, flip its effect around to make it defensive. Make it so it can target a nearby tower, kind of like Janna's ability, to shield it or reduce damage done, or perhaps boost its attack speed and/or damage for a few seconds.

I almost never see anyone get it, and I've tried using it because I'll try anything just to see how it goes (double junglers, clairvoyance, and Support Irelia ftw), but even I can't find a particularly good use for it. It's never going to win games, is all. Given its price, would you rather have that, or, well, anything else around the same range that people typically get, for any role? Yeah, it's like that.

I'd rather it be a defensive item. By the time it's a feasible item, you already have enough offense without it. Invert its effect, in a sense, and it might be useful for a support item.

CoolKnightST2 votes

They just should change it to on click. What's the use to make it a targetable active when only one turret is arround.

Secondly they should just buff the turrets. It would be really viable on the laser turrets if they actualy would do damage.

TheRainInSpain2 votes

Honestly, the Ohmwrecker should be an item for holding the line against an enemy who you just can't fight out in the open, so you're forced to tower hug. It also should benefit allies indirectly.

So my thought was that it gives relatively poor defensive stats, but will double this bonus (making the item worth it) if you're near an allied turret. Being near your still intact Nexus turrets triple the original stats. It only works on you.

The Ohmwrecker also would have an active effect, which depends on what kind of turret you're near. If you're near an enemy turret, you can massively reduce its damage output for a short while. If you're near an allied tower, you can massively increase its damage output for an equally short period. Normal towers fire faster, Inhibitor towers burn enemies with extra true damage, and Nexus towers get two things: a stronger inhibitor burn, and double damage if they BOTH target the same enemy champion. If you get hit by this at their Nexus, you're supposed to feel some serious pain.

The stats of the Ohmwrecker should not be a MUST GET item, but it should help those who get countered or if the jungler camps their lane. It would share the same "defensive value" as a Sightstone, which is to say pretty bad.

And ohm wrecker becomes support core item on everyone. I already feel like its underused against turtle teams. Bought one ina game on jayce cuz we couldnt break a team with heimer/morgana/lux/teemo/cait zzz

Quepha2 votes

you're right, that is stupid.

Saevum1 votes

Support:

Why not making Ohm Wrecker absorb turret damage as health for 2.5 seconds.

Still shoots, but you can make plays with it, instead of the tower making all the damage on the enemy.

Its less broken, more viable.

junglerboy161 votes

Ohmwreker is actually really strong on split push tanks like Nasus who utilize all of its stats and can still take towers, and it is also strong on tank supports for breaking sieges where a team is turtling for ages. The changes they already made to it are more than enough to make it a viable and worth while purchase on many different champions (oh, the Alistar dives are so real...).

Blue Moon Wolf1 votes

I love item 3056 , and now that they updated it with some better effects, I can get it without feeling like I'm just buying it because its cheap :p

fluxanna1 votes

Dude... then everyone would get Ohmwrecker.

MrSlowDie1 votes

that's good, AS LONG the turret deals reduced damage.

xGvPx1 votes

That would be interesting lol but probably too OP...

Nato Boram1 votes

CONSIDER THIS : The tower will belong to you for 1 basic attack, targeted to the lowest (hp * armor) enemy champion in range (or a minion).

Hallorann1 votes

Or just increase the resell value of Ohmwreker. Once you take out enough turrets, there's really no need for it. In those rare games where both teams are at a stalemate, and there are no turrets left, and there's still gold to be had, Ohmwrecker should resell for most of its cost, which would make it a more attractive item, since it is very situational.

I like this idea. Can there be a third option for voting?
