Did I get insanely lucky, or is loot really this much better now?

I used my 96 project tokens to buy 2 project skin orbs. First orb's loot: Cottontail Fizz 2950 Orange Essence Project Skin Orb Second orb's loot (the orb I got from the above): Uncle Ryze 75 Orange Essence Third orb's loot: Queen Ashe Gemstone 50 Orange Essence Grouchy Emote That's a lot of loot for just finishing missions (not even S ranks). In comparison, I've only crafted 1 skin with hextech crafting so far (Elderwood Hecarim, which I got from a hextech chest AFTER the essence update) and I had only 8000 and change orange essence and 1 gemstone prior to the update (disenchanted all of my shards except I rerolled 3 520's in to a Whistler Village Twitch permanent, and kept a Nemesis Jax shard). So more than a full season of hextech chests and missions for, let's say, 9000 orange essence worth of shards (none of which I was fond of) and 1 gemstone. Then in a few weeks get Elderwood Hecarim (a skin I wanted, although I know this is irrelevant) from the only hextech chest I've managed to get as I've S-ranked out my mains, a gemstone, and about 3500 orange essence worth of other shards (or straight-up essence). So: what did everyone get from their orbs? Pick your best orb, and let's count gemstones as 500 essence each for simplicity?
