Riot deleting dominion shows an inherent flaw in how they handle their game client.

No LAN (local area network) support for their game.

If we had LAN support, someone could just archive/snapshot the current patch, and anyone who actually likes to play dominion could get people together and play it without using Riot's servers.

Sadly now it will just die forever, because in the 6 years League has been around, Riot hasn't released LAN support outside of the LCS.

That would be a bad thing if people could choose not to play on the current patch. Guess where everyone would be? A different patch, leading to the game dying

Setting up games over a LAN network is hard mate.

No one's gonna bother with that shit unless they REALLY have to. It's not just "click a button and find people" like it is in the actual game.

I don't even like dominion and this pisses me off. What the fuck are they doing thats so important that takes away the time needed to maintain dominion? Champions are either completely useless or broken as fuck and there's no middle ground. So what the fuck are they doing?

1 Billion dollar a year company can't support more than 1 map.

Riot must waste more money than the US government.

It could also mean a massive security problems and exploits start showing up rapidly because they have more data to work with.

Oh, but at least you can play dominion.
