For the amount of potential damage Nasus deals, his increase over timne slow is a bit long

I get he needs the slow to be combat effective with most of his potential his damage more or less loaded into his auto buffing Q, but 35% up to a 95% slow over 5 seconds is pretty strong given his massive damage potential with his Q stacks and his ability to get an entirely tanky build (not to mention his ult and his armor shredding E).

I don't want to hurt his playability too much, since he is kinda straight forward, but maybe lower the slow by some or reduce its duration by a couple seconds would seem fair.

Basically, it's only noticeable if he's ahead. If Nasus is doing well, he slows you and that's it. You're done. Nearly no counterplay available. IF he is behind, he slows you and you just turn on him and murder him or at least run long enough to get to a red plant or a wall to flash over or to teammates.

His wither is absolutely broken in terms of design. Always has been, always will. Without a proper CD, it will always be overpowered, even if the champion itself is not. However, if he can't wither everyone constantly, he has absolutely 0 way to catch someone.

it is why I don't want to remove it, just lower the amount or the duration. A Nasus likely can catch them if they go a standard Nasus build or have some movement speed buff from items or stormraider's. item 3512 and item 3025 are common nasus items, also item 3078 if not FG. All of these help him chase or slow fleeing targets.

Yea get in line for complaints on his slow.

This has been a complaint for people for a ungodly amount of time on how long that Withering slow lasts.

I think it needs to have some changes as well.

I mean does Darius, illaoi, or mordekaiser have that? No. They also rely on enemy stupidity and black cleaver/trinity/rylais to stick to people.

Idk why nasus gets a pass here

Nasus is significantly weaker in lane than Darius, illaoi and mordekaiser

But he also has infinite scaling damage on his Q, a "safety buff" for an ult, and an large, AOE, armor shredding, DOT which has a decent initial damage hit. Sure he is weaker early on, but he also has passive 10-15-20% life steal. Darius, Illaoi and Mordekaiser all have sustain or a shield, but none apply it nearly as easily or cost effective.

Doesn't change the fact that he gives up his early game potential for a stronger late game

the thing is, early game lasts for about 12-15 minutes or so, then you reach mid game where he is no longer a pushover. Once he reaches his 100 or so stack he starts hurting, and it infinitely scales from there to the point where just 3-4 Q's removes a full health tower of an inhib. Maybe have the slow start at 5 seconds and as he gains stacks, shorten it. Maybe 0.1s for every 10 or so stacks capping at a 3s slow duration (having 200+ stacks wont lower it anymore).
