I'ma bet that 6.2 his playrate goes up or stays the same, and after people realize how boring he is after the update, it will take a dive.
I'm sorry but after playing him on the PBE hes not nearly as fun.. so i don't understand this argument. I can't interact with my laner more because i'm too weak to even trade anymore. I feel more of an ult taunt bot then i did ever before. PLZ FIX THIS SHIT.
Shahamut1 votesIve played him, and I feel like his trade potential is much stronger. His shield, which is going to be up fairly frequently, scales with Bonus health, he gets extra damage on his dash from bonus health, and when he goes in to trade, he can rip the sword to him to gain a solid amount of extra damage for the trade. The shield he gains will take a good portion of retaliation as well as when he activates W he dodges basic attacks briefly.
You just wont be able to hide under tower and throw vorpal blades til mid game anymore which, as a point and click skill, was pretty boring to do and both frustrating AND boring to lane against.
I only wish they would turn the spirit sword into "Twilight's Eye" and have it grant vision wherever its hanging out. Would give it some fun utility, and then have it reveal invisible units for a few seconds if it passes through an enemy champion after calling it to you with Q. That would be fun. :)

Live i can trade with my Q or my passive, or even taunt in. PBE i pretty much press Q and try to auto him. I feel more obligated to all in every time just to get a trade.

He admitted to not being a Shen player, but its def something simple that i never even considered.. I mean it scales with HP now so theres that.. and it does phys dmg. Idk I just really dont like this new Q at all.

Well you're an energy champion with a non-combat ultimate - you don't lose anything meaningful by doing an all-in while trading.

Dreadlocks1 votesI saw redmercy max E first, not sure if thats the way to go now or not, but his Q feels weak. i mean current shen has 3 damage abilities, Passive, Q and E. PBE shen has 2, Q and E, and he can do that damage less often.
insaiyanbacca1 votesmakes sense, current shen feels more like a bruiser then a straight tank and new shen looks more like a defensive tank which is what i think riot wants him to be. as for e max idk, it looks like the right max now that it scales off hp and does more dmg. but still i have yet to try him on pbe so im trying not to make an opinion yet.
