Smurfs are a serious problem

They have always been a problem. They ruin the entire concept of climbing the ladder. This season they are even worse than before. The high queue times at high ELO are encouraging players to play on smurfs, and I for one am tired of getting matched with players who are clearly smurfs in ranked games. I only get to play about 10 games a week and climbing is hard enough without playing the lottery of who has the better smurf.

I realize that the general response to this is going to be, I'm bad and just making excuses for losing. But when you play against someone who has a 95% win rate, he's either scripting or smurfing. This is only going to get worse as queue times in high ELo continue to get worse and more and more players start climbing with smurfs.

It's too late to ban smurfs. Frankly that's not a good solution anyway. But this is just going to drive people away from the game.

Unfortunately the longer the game is out, the more smurfs there will be. At least losing to a smurf generally shows you a few areas you need to improve on. I would try to focus on that. Sucks when it happens, but it doesn't mean you can't learn from it. It's like running into smufs in CS:GO. Losing to them shows you how much you can improve in areas like accuracy, cursor placement, map movement, coordinated/timed attacks, smoke placements, flash timings, etc.

The odds bigger that smurf is on enemy team than in yours :D
