Are we ever going to reduce healing or is riot just going to double down?
Riot in the past has been asked about how they feel about all the life steal/healings such as conq in the game and they said it makes for interesting plays to happen and make for situations where you can choose to keep pushing instead being forced to back due to being low.
IMO, it's a problem in LoL and kinda ruined the identifty of champions that were known for their sustain, such as Zac. Zac used to be considered a god tier champion because of his incredible sustain in the jungle which was rare back in the day while building tanky as well as his E gap closer. Now a days, champions have incredible mobility on par of zacs E that he's kinda went into forgotten land as his sustain isn't really a big part of his uniqueness anymore. On top of that, everyone builds healing reduction by default and are used to building it that his healing isn't as good as it used to be back when healing reduction was a lot harder to build for and apply.
I just feel meh whenever I play tanks like Tahm/Sej/mundo. I want to build cool items like randuins/deadmansplate, but you just can't. Why? Because you need healing reduction or you just lose. On top of the healing reduction, we of course get more damage from thornmail. On a tank, the thornmail damage is not to be underestimated. It pretty much negates healing or the majority of healing from an ADC, and that healing lost is something they might not account for.
It also sucks that thornmail and randuins share the same 15% attack speed slow passive. Why not make thornmail the anti ADC item with attack speed slow and maybe make it something like 20%, and make thornmail get maybe a bit more health, 20 more armor, or... MORE DAMAGE!!! on it's spike passive. It's just why you never see randuins or deadmans plate on champions now a days unless it's a champion like nunu or darius, very niche cases and in darius case he doesn't need a thornmail as it doesnt help him as much as a deadmans to just instantly get 5 stacks and kill you.
So yer. just wishing tanks had more options instead of having to build healing reduction just because every champion in the game heals for 500 gigatons of health in this game. The amount of healing in the game is the reason damage is so good. Everyone is a drain tank.
I'll also add conqs problem is the healing, not the true damage it used to have. Now the healing is even worse.
