Smash Ultimate continues to be more balanced in 1 week, then this game has been in 5 years.

Smash Ultimate is a game where matches last about 10 minutes. League games last anywhere from 15 to 50+.

Smash Ultimate has a max of 2v2 in tournaments and 4v4 in casuals. League has a consistent 5v5 regardless of gametype, excluding TT.

There are 74/75 characters in Smash as opposed to 140+ for League.

Smash is designed as a party game first and a competitive game second, anyone who is a fan of the series knows this.

League is designed competitively first, with 20-30m concurrent players ranging from Iron to Challenger, with different build paths, champion matchups, and playstyles.

Don't make comparisons between the two because there is literally no common ground between them except for the fact that they're both video games.

League is just a confused mess at the moment, putting all their eggs in the competitive basket and ignoring their casual players completely.

Doesn't change the fact that your comparison doesn't hold up.

Riot has almost nothing to learn from Nintendo, especially regarding game balance because you can't apply balancing standards from a party brawl game to a 5v5 MOBA.

But the difference is that Smash Ultimate is about gitting gud through mechanics on movement and tech. League is more numbers focused.

Too bad the online is atrocious.

Not to mention comparing a fighting game to a MOBA is a little off imo

They fixed it actually, this week, not had any problems.

Never thought of Smash as a fighting game... Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc are what I think of when I think of fighting games...
